What did you/ are you going to give your hubbie as a gift?

We had decided not to get each other anything b/c we are taking possession of a condo on the 26th (we get married the 20th) and we thought that was gift enough. However, we have now decided to give eachother a joint present. His name is Kona (after one of our stops in our Hawaiian honeymoon booked for this November) and we pick him up May 28th.

I figured out the perfect gift. You guys were really helpful. I am going to get him a print of the entrance to Southfork Ranch. Leif LOVES the tv show Dallas. I can't figure that one out! But then I can get it framed for his b-day and I have 2 of the 3 big presents for the year!!! Whoop-ee!

I absolutely love to give gifts. My DF couldn't stop me if he tried. I am bought him Superman cufflinks. I also ordered a cake for our rehearsal dinner as a surprise. It has Lilo and Stitch...his favorite characters. I also arranged for a Wishes cruise the day after we get married. He is taking me to a surprise restaurant in NYC the night of our courthouse wedding (3 days before Disney), and he is arranging a surprise dinner in Paris for our honeymoon. He is also engraving our wedding rings. So exciting!

Snow white; what a brilliant idea - my fiance would love an ipod nano, i like the idea of engraving it with a message; i dont know whether or not he will find it a bit corny though! I think it is a lovely idea

LOL, I don't think he'll find it corny--I think it's a neat way to add a little sentimentality to an otherwise not-very-sentimental gift BTW, you can do the engraving when you order it direct from Apple at ipod.com

I am going to purchase from onestock.com a piece of Yahoo stock that comes framed with a little plaque you can place a personal message. Yahoo is where we first met. We are going to buy our ring bearer and groomsmen each Disney stock. We thought that would be a unique gift they can own forever.

A few months ago, in deciding what room we were going to book for the night of the wedding, we saw some of the Lagoon View rooms at the Grand Floridian. My DF fell in love with the Mickey Top Hat lamps they have in the rooms. After our site inspection, he kept talking about how much the lamp reminded him of the Mickey's Christmas Carol (go figure ). About a few weeks ago, he bought up the lamp again in conversation. So, this past Monday, I called the Grand Floridian, and was able to purchase the lamp!!!! I couldn’t believe how easy it was. It was a little expensive, but he's worth it. We are not getting married until December, 2006. I don't know if I can hold the surprise in for that long.

I'm getting him a Tag Heuer watch. He kept on saying that he would rather have a "wedding watch" than a "wedding ring". So now he'll get both. He's really into watches, so I thought I'd get him the best I could find. Originally we bought a plasma TV and said that would be our wedding gift to each other, but that fell off pretty quickly (it was more of an excuse just to get a new TV)!!!!
