I am trying to decide between CBR and CSR. People seem to just be in love with CSR but I am leaning more toward CBR. I like the tropical theme of CBR. So what did you just hate about CBR when you stayed there?

Our extremely loud neighbors. pirate:
Everything else was just as nice as any of the other moderates. But that's JMHO.

:rotfl: Oh my god!! This thread title takes the cake. O.K., I'd like to start the betting on the over/under for minutes that this thread gets closed at 30 minutes!! Any takers?!?!? :rotfl:

Nothing. CBR is large but they do have an internal bus system. I've yet to try CSR as the theme isn't so interesting to me since I grew up in the Southwest. Have stayed at CBR 3 times, twice in Martinique which is close to the food court and main pool area. Once much farther away from the Old Port Royale area in Barbados, but rather enjoyed the walk to OPR. I think it just comes down to the theme you personally prefer so if you like tropical, go with CBR :)

Have fun!

I did not like being far from the main pool and food court without having a car. The internal bus was a joke.

Nothing. We loved it. Especially the theming, atmosphere, and decor.

When we stayed at CBR we were near the front and had the beach area near our rooms. It was neat to go our early in the morning and see the beach area had been smoothed out and any foot prints removed (I think mickey was in the sand too). I loved the hammocks too. It is more spread out but the mood is so layed back (or we just were). The neighbors didn't bother us but we didn't spend much time in our room. We were at the parks! This year we picked Pop because we relized how little we were at the room. Why pay for something you won't use. If we were there longer I would use CBR again. Do they still have the little nature walk with the animals? :cheer2:

We loved CBR! It is absolutely beautiful, my 11 and 14 year old sons loved lying in hammocks on the beach, boating on the lake, swimming in the pools, and from the preferred locations everything is convenient. Even Jamaica and Aruba are convenient via a bridge. The bus service was easy and quick, the food court was great, and the CM's were all fantastic! We'll be back there on our next trip! Check out Safetymom's FAQ threads for CBR....

the signs for the different sections are much to low.

all the bus stops are the same - not the colors of the building they are for

we were there when they were working on the bus stops - so it was one way on the streets.

if you couldn't see before hand where you turn was - remember these signs are low to the ground you can't see them until you are there.... well you missed your turn - guess what it will be 7 minutes before you get back there!!!!

some people were so confused that they were ignoring the one way signs.

the cashier for the food court are on top of each other. So it is hard to see what line people are in - plus when we were there - we were told that the resort was full. but the resort only have 2 cashier serving the guest no matter what the time. - really silly!!! 2 cashier during morning rush, but also 2 cashier during lunch when most of the resort was deserted.

we have a garden view room and I liked it!!!

We were just there in May and we really enjoyed this resort. And we were even at Trinidad South! We had a courtyard view and it was very quiet and peaceful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. But, I want to try the YC or BC first if I can swing it!! ;)

I hated that there are so many bus stops, it took 15 minutes just to get out of the resort on standing room only busses!! Resort is way too spread out and unless you pay for a preferred room you may have to hike quite a ways to the food court. We were in Barbados on the back side and it took at least 15 minutes just to get to the foodcourt so we only filled our refillable mugs twice. The first time we stayed there we were in Aruba right by the bridge that goes across the lake and that was a much better location. It's room location that can make or break your stay at CBR.

Other than that, the resort really is pretty and the rooms have been renovated recently so they are nice. Foodcourt has some great selections and my kids loved the pool.

I think if that theme appeals to you just book a preferred room and you'll be fine.

Can't think of anything I hate at CBR. Only that I couldn't stay longer.

I didn't like the food court at CSR if you are comparing.

We hated it being so spread out, and we hated the food court. I know plenty of people don't like the food court at CSR, but to us Pepper Market was a plus! In a way, hate is a strong word here, since we were so happy to be away and at Disney that it wasn't a true "hate", but a dislike.

Both are great resorts-our fave is CSR though b/c we felt comparing our trips to CBR and CSR that CSR has better food court, better pools, better bus system, and we loved the more relaxing feel to CSR. However, we had a great stay at CBR and hope to stay there again. I wouldnt say I hated anything about it, just prefer CSR for the reasons listed. :)
