I will never go back to PCs after having a macbook. Just got a new one so I could give my old one to my DD. I love it so much, I feel like writing a mushy-gushy letter to Steve Jobs.

my other can't-imagine-life-without: tivo, Ipod and my Nook. I haven't watched a commercial since 2002, lol.

(I have an Iphone but don't love it yet because I haven't found it as intuitively easy to use)

so how about you? what will they have to pry from your cold, dead hands?

My Nook! I love bring able to easily carry the book I am reading everywhere and quickly start the next in a series when I finish a book.

The DVR is another one. We've had it for years, but it is almost painful to watch live TV now.

Definitely my ereader. I am currently carrying 28 books in my pocketbook. I also like being able to download from the library at 10 pm.

DVR is my favorite. I never miss a show! :happytv:

My second fav is my ipod so I can listen to podcasts (esp. Disunplugged).. :thumbsup2

My next purchase will be the Kindle. I have heard nothing but good reports on the ereaders.

Ditto the Tivo. If i didn't have it I would just cancel cable bc I'm never home when my shows are on!

For me it's my Ipod Touch.
Music, video, great apps. I love it!

I've never had a dvr and my phone is still a pay as you go Tracfone.

In order of how much I love them:cloud9:
My Kindles
My iPad
DVR and On Demand programming on TV
Cell phones
Digital camera

I also love my Prius. I drive around seeing patients all day so getting 50 mpg has been awesome.

(even though I'll probably would've saved more money by just getting a small regular car)

it's an amazing world we live in. I remember in 2nd gr, my dad showed me a newspaper article that said one day a book would fit on a tiny microchip. I thought that would never happen, computers were room sized back then. And now look at our lives.

Digital cameras. Do you remember Roll Film? And how much it cost to print it? And how half the pictures were crap and you would throw them out?? Oh, the money I could have saved prior to 2000!!!

Nothing fancy, really.. My lap top - so I can take care of my business affairs when I'm here at the lake 7 to 8 months out of the year..

Oh - and the wall heater my Dson-in-law installed for me here several years ago so that I can move up here to the mountains earlier (April or so) and stay later (end of November or so)..

Other than that, I don't have much use for other gadgets and gizmos.. I enjoy leading a very simple life..:goodvibes

Tivo, MacBook, Kindle Dx, digital camera. Cell phone too, but I have a basic one, no internet. I have yet to put any music on my 2 year old unused iPod Nano. (need to find it, is is misplaced now).

With all these things, I still feel rushed and stressed out though. :confused3

I really debated about buying an iPod touch back in January. I'm so glad I did. I use it so much. I listen to books, play games, use it as a computer on trips, use it as a cookbook and I even make phone calls on it with Skype

My other "gadget" is an immersion blender. The time this saves me making soup is unbelievable. It's also great for instant pudding, cake mixes and anything else that is a thin to thick liquid.

I guess I am a bit less techie than most....I love my steam mop. How quick & easy it is to mop with it. I also love my Keurig for that instant coffee gratification.

I too must be leading a sheltered life, I have virtually nothihng mentioned here.

My top 3 would be my crock pot for our super busy nights, my cell phone instead of a landline (so when the doctor says they will call you back later you don't have to sit hoe all day) and my favorite, my digital camera. I love always being abe to take photos, know if they turned out and retake if they didn't.

My DH is very techie, he'd say his Droid, his Droid and his Droid! :rotfl:

(I hate the thing cause of all the work calls but aside from that it is pretty cool.)

This is how I know I was born in the wrong century...There isn't one device listed thus far I couldn't live without. Most probably complicate our lives more than simplify. My choices would be hot water heater, central heat and my washing machine. Do I enjoy my tech gadgets? You bet I do, but I would happily leave them behind for the simpler pioneer life. Weird, I know:rolleyes:

I second(or third, fourth, or whatever) the iPod Touch. Internet access on the go, Email, plus music and video. Not to mention a whole host of apps that entertain, inform, and make life better. I just downloaded a pedometer app (Footsteps) that I have been using on a daily basis. Also makes for a great photo album on the go. Great to show off family pictures, or shots from the latest Disney vacay. My DVR is great, too. But dollar for dollar, the Touch gets my vote. :thumbsup2
