What developments/areas are good a little further out for vacation homes?

I am thinking of taking an Orlando vacation this summer. We just went to Disney in Nov, so I was hoping to stay affordably and for a little longer, like maybe 9 or 10 days. We will do other Orlando things, like dinner shows, maybe US/IOA, Sea World, etc. I wanted to look at vacation homes a little further out, because we need a 4 bedroom. Since we would be staying longer, I would like to save some money on the per night rate. I am overwhelmed with vrbo and have no clue at all what areas are nice, what housing developments are better than others, etc. Any advice? Thanks so much! :worship:

We always stay a little further out to get more amenities for the price. The past two years, we have stayed in the Champions Gate area of Davenport. We like this area because it has quick access to I-4 which makes it easy to get to the parks. We liked both houses we stayed in the past two year. Here are their VRBO links.

We would stay in both of these homes again. Each had some minor wear and tear but they were CLEAN and there was no evidence of bugs. We paid $925 + $175 refundable security deposit for the first one in February of 2009 and that included all taxes, fees and pool heat. They gave us a higher quote for 2010 and we still would have stayed there but we found a great deal on the second house and it had 2 master bedrooms on the ground floor which was perfect for my in-laws and my parents who are disabled and not able to climb stairs. Here is my review for that house.

We stayed in the second one in February of 2010 and we paid $875 including all taxes, fees and pool heat and a $500 refundable security deposit that was returned within 4 days of our return. I haven't had the time to write a proper review yet. For the price I would absolutely stay here again. The downstairs King Master suite is probably the best room in the house. We stayed in the upstairs master kind suite and we liked it but it didn't have a door to close. There was plenty of privacy as there were plenty of stairs that separated us from everyone else, but the queen suite was in the hall at the bottom of the stairs and my mother has some health issues and is usually up quite often in the middle of the night. Because we have 4 kids, I am used to tuning into every single noise and she woke me up quite a bit.

Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions regarding these two homes.
