We have never been to WDW in Nov. We'll be there Nov. 6 - 12. I had no idea the Food and Wine Festival was scheduled during our visit. We are going with another family who has never been, and both of us have children from age 6 - 12. The other family has indicated they would like to spend more time at MK, though I'm sure we will at least have one day at Epcot.

What are the least crowded days at Epcot during this time of year? Are weekends more crowded because more locals come for the Festival? We are used to July crowds. Will Epcot be as crowded as the summer, or do you still notice a drop in attendance even though there is a special event going on?

Also, does the festival tend to draw crowds away from the other parks, or are all the parks more crowded? Sorry for so many questions - I have many more, but I'll save them for another post!

I'd really like to know the answer to this too! We're (tentatively) going to Epcot on the weekend (Oct 19th and Oct 25th), and I've been interested in knowing how the Festival effects the crowds.

- Wanting to be there!!!
- But still wanting to plan it all out, too!

:bounce:

Last fall we found that weekdays were less crowded than weekends. Maybe because of locals on weekends?

We were there last year and found the crowds to be light,
even on the weekend.

Disnee Dad Says.....................................We have been to 4 F&W's.

Any weekday will be fine. EPCOT is sooo big it's hard for it to get crowded.

Here is the secret tip. Don't tell anyone! It has to do with the food booths. Eat when the other people aren't!

One day we stopped at the French booth around 3:30pm and there were 3 or 4 people in line, we were walking past the same booth at 6:00pm and the line was 23 people! Yes, I counted them!

If you must eat when everyone else is, and that will happen if you are snacking around the world, then go to the booths of lesser known food styles. Like Poland, Greece, Argentina etc...., it changes a little each year.

When the other people aren't eating, 11:00-12:00, 2:00 - 4:00, thats when you hit the lines that can build up. France, Mexico, Italy, US. Yes, US! There is a booth outside the American
Adventure.

Had my first crab cake there back in 1997. I saw crab cake in restaurants, for much $$$, and as I like my crab plain, I had no interest in a crab cake. For $3.00, what the heck I'll try one, hate it, and prove plain crab is the best. I WAS WRONG! I still love plain crab, but at last count I've had 1,967 crab cakes.

Cheddar Cheese soup, who in the heck eats that? But for $2-3, I'll try it. Good thing Canada always has this because we get it everytime we go!

Those are just 2 examples of what the F&W is all about.

Go on an adventure, try new things, thats the whole point.

Poland had that great meat thing, it was, um,er,uh, dang, I guess it will be F&W #5, in 2005!!!:smooth:

Along with the W&F festival, this weekend is also supersoap weekend at MGM. It usually gets very crowded especially when the soap stars are around for autographs.
