:goodvibes Boy is this one loaded! We are headed to WDW May 19-26. Will arrive late on Sat, and Sunday, we're hitting Star Wars Weekend at HS. Dh says he wants to hit IOA/US somewhere between Monday and Friday. Only 2 days as we're hitting WDW for 4. Can someone tell me what are the best 2 days in that week to hit both parks? This chik knows Disney, but am lost as a goose over US/IOA.

Is it wrong in assuming that Mon-Thurs would be the better days to choose from? And what 2 would you pick? We're currently planning to buy the 2day/2park ticket so we could hit it and go back and forth as we wanted since we're all older.

And just fyi..It'll be dh, myself, ds25,dd23, dd12 and they are really wanting to hit all the HP stuff first! Other than that? I don't have a clue:rolleyes1

popcorn::

Avoid Fridays in May due to school groups. I'd also avoid Monday since it is usually the first day of vacation for people and they head to IOA. So that leaves Tues, Wed. and Thurs.

Thanks so much! I hadn't even thought about Monday like that! Now I'm thinking Tuesday and Wednesday because I bet Thursday will mark the start of longer vacation times due to the Memorial Weekend. And if we get there before they open on both days, we'll be good to go to ride all the major rides, correct?

Thanks again!

Yes, you'll have no problems.

you catch on quick!
welcome homie to the darkside!

yea, memorial weekend will bring in the crowds.
the further away from it the better like you said.

I wondered if Star Wars Weekends affected Universal. The last time we were at Disney in May was in 2000, and it was completely dead. We walked right onto everything. This year we are planning on going to Universal this same week, May 20th-23rd. I thought that Monday would not be good for IOA, the crowd calendars didn't look encouraging. Is Sunday usually a better day? I don't think we'll be able to wait 2 days before going to WWOHP!

We always try to hit Disney the 3rd week in May and/or October. Seems the crowds are never bad, and there might be a 5/10 min wait, but as the week ends towards the Holiday, it gets busier. We'd hit Universal on Sunday, but unfortunately, HS only hosts the weekends for SW and we've never done that one before. That being said, I still wonder which we'd best hit first, IOA or US on Tuesday. And I've got to find a map somewhere so I can make my plans for the darkside...:rotfl:
This disneychik will always favor the world, but my 'older' kids love Universal...so we'll just have to do both!:goodvibes
