what day of week for a 1 day visit? etc.

No, it's the same price either way. $94 for adults and $84 for kids. Keep in mind that Disney traditionally raises their ticket prices in early Aug (usually the first week).

Do you guys think it is worth the extra 50 it would cost for two to get the one day hopper as opposed to the 1 day 1 park DL option? I would like to hop like you guys mentioned in PP's, but just want to know if it would be worth it. Opinions please. Thanks so much. I think we decided to go on Thursday rather than Friday.

DH and I were there 2 weekends ago, including a Thurs. and Fri. Thurs. was very nice. I would recommend parkhopping. Starting at DL is great and you can gather FP's and save them for later. Then hop to DCA and start to get some FP's there. We also spent some time at Cove Bar in DCA - it is upstairs in Ariel's Grotto - and had the Lobster Nachos (definitely to share, they are huge!) and had real silverware and plates and glasses. No plastic, cardboard or paper! It is actually a very nice place to rest/eat/rejuvenate, especially if you have already been at DL and want a quiet, calm, relaxing place to sit down and relax. It would be better if the water was back in the lagoon - but for us it was nice to sit in the shade and feel the cool breeze and drink a gallon of water each (okay, it just seemed like it!). :rotfl:

We collected some FP's in DCA and then used them a little later - but the lines weren't terrible, either.

We hopped to our hotel for a couple of hours around 3:30 and then went to DL for the evening. We ate at Plaza Inn - another place with real place settings and air conditioning and indoor seating. We used our FP's from earlier in the day and then we checked in for Fantasmic Dessert Seating and rode Pirates and then watched Fantasmic and the Fireworks.

We walked around the whole day sort of surprised that there weren't as many people as we expected and the lines weren't really bad or anything. It was a great way to spend DH's birthday, just the 2 of us. :thumbsup2
