What dates are spring break?

Anything from March 1 to the week after Easter.

Some schools are out as early as the last week in February, also. Last year we were out the last two weeks in Feb. This year they moved it forward to second and third week of March which works better for us since we go to Vero Beach for Dodger Spring training and then to DW ... at least then they are playing games and not just practicing.

But, the parks are packed then and there is really no way to avoid crowds during that time.

I guess you take the good with the bad ... but for us it is always worth it since we love DW.

College Spring Breaks are usually early to mid March, but there are exceptions due to semesters vs quarters and decisions made by the schools for their calendars. K-12 schools are usually close to Easter. The exact dates vary from state to state and county to county within the state. If you're wondering about crowds, the most crowded times according to the Birnbaum Official Guide is the 3rd week of March through the 3rd Week of April which pretty much encompasses spring break for K-12.

I know the upstate NY spring break is the week starting April 18. that is why i am going the following week!

Most public schools on Long Island and parts of NJ have spring break the last week of April 2005 due to Passover. I know many people are storming Florida cause the flight fares have been through the roof for months now...come on Southwest, release those dates while I'm sitting at my computer!!

Ditto from another LIer. If dh doesnt lose his job by then, we will be there too. If the winter will be as cold and snowy as predicted, then I think alot of us will be heading there. Also waiting on southwest. I will book it as soon as it comes out and if we cancel the trip then dh can use the credit for job interview travel. Looks like it shaping up to be a busy week in the world then and I sure hope they have previews of soaring and the car stunt show that are opening the next week.

I know the schools in Massachusetts are off the week of 4/18. I'm pretty sure that most of RI, CT, ME and VT are off the same week. New Hampshire is usually off the week after MA. I don't know about the parks, but there were over 400 people from MA (us included) on the Magic during this past April vacation.

Well I checked the link to the poll and it looks like the majority will be getting the traditional Easter weeks off either before or after Easter. We'll be there starting March 25 along with throngs of others.

NYC public schools are out the same week. I'm planning to be there April 22- May 1.

Airtran had many flights for $59.00 each way when I checked on Saturady.

Colleges are almost always in March, my younger kids have theirs near Easter.

DH and I are going the very last week of April (our anniversary), which I thought would be not as crowded.

I called just yesterday to change our ressies - just to add one more day than we originally booked, and the woman I spoke with said they were pretty filled "must be because of spring break" she commented! We were able to get the extra night, but she also said there weren't any AAA discounts or much of anything available for those dates.

The week leading up to Easter is my DS's Spring Break. So, this is the only time we're able to go. Looks like we arrive the same day you do. See you then!

Thanks for the tip but with 3 kids and 2 carseats we can only deal with direct flights. But that is a good fare if you're willing to connect.

Ours is Mar 10-20th inclusive-they go back for 4 days and are off for another 4 days (Easter). Think they'd have been smarter to just make it Mar 17-28th.

Most of the southeastern side of MI get either President's week (3rd week of Feb) or like our school the 2nd week of Feb off. Mid to upper MI normally get sometime in March for only a couple of days. We do get 1 week and 3 days for Easter though too.

I hope Disney is warmer this year in Feb for our break than last year.
