OP, before I even read your response I was thinking the same thing - making the bed every morning.
I had to do that when I lived at home with my parents, but in my own home I rarely ever make the bed unless we're having overnight company. But day to day it never gets made. Throw the covers up and that's about it. Nobody but us sees the bedroom anyway, and if unexpected company drops in I just shut the door.
Funny though, I do make the bed almost every day in our camper. I guess it's because when anyone walks in the door if they look to their right they can see the bedroom so I do like the bed made up in there.
Another chore that I feel is a waste of time is washing the windows outside. You get them all clean, then it rains and gets them dirty again. Oh, but I guess that really doesn't qualify for your question, since it's not really a daily chore. Never mind then.
