I think I belonged to a clique of two--my sister and I. And we weren't that close, lol. Actually we stood out like a sore thumb because of the way we dressed and it was hard to fit in with anybody except the stoners who would accept anyone into their group. Since I in no way related to the stoners lifestyle it really wasn't the place for me either. It seems so stupid now because I finally found that in real life it doesn't matter if you wear dresses everyday and don't cut your hair, people will accept you and respect you if you just open up and be yourself. Ugghhh, if I only knew in high school what I know today! lol. I would have had a much more enjoyable time! My dd has handled the situation much better than I did but as my mom always says "Ashli has more guts than Jesse James". Anyway she seems to have learned that if you open up and be friendly you will have lots friends.
