Okay experts... I have a new big Crocs question...

Do they all have the little nubby-dots on the footbed exactly like the Beach model??? Does this bother anyones feet???

Also, I am trying out some Teva sandles... What is the deal about how the feel if they get wet??? I know a couple of posters mentioned that. So, I am interested in that too!

Thanks!

Yes, as far as I know all of them have what they call "circulation nubs" and they help stimulate circulation. They may bother you in the begininig because you are not used to them--but they are a good thing in the long run and although they can't tell you--your feet really love them...but your mind says "what the heck" You will get used to them and they tend to round out the more you wear them.
My experience with Teva's (just for the record, I LOVE TEVA's) is that when they are wet they get really squishy and the strapes hurt my skin a lot more causing blisters. But I have to say they are great for certain activities. If I was going rafting down the Snake River I would wear Tevas :rotfl2: I like them alot and this summer I will be switching them with Crocs, but If I am walking...I'm wearing Crocs--Teva's just don't work well for me in that area (DH swears by them)

According to CROCS customer service, the new whole size Niles should be available in a few weeks. They changed the mold to whole sizes (instead of 6/7, 8/9, 10/11). I had ordered 8/9 Niles in black over a month ago and I was informed of the delay due to the new mold. I told them I wanted an 8 when they asked if I wanted an 8 or a 9.

I'm so disappointed. After reading all about crocs here, I went to Nordstroms last nigt and tried on the cayman style crocs. I just couldn't find the right fit. I usually wear a size 9 or 9 1/2 - but they run big. A size 8 was really loose and my foot kept moving around in them. Size seven felt better and more secure, but my toes kept popping out of the front holes! I guess my feet just aren't meant for crocs. Very sad.

Hi Everyone - I'm joining your thread as an new official Crocs owner. After I read this thread, I had to find a retailer to try them on. Many in Michigan, but not near the Detroit area. Finally found one and they had just gotten some in so my mom & I went over and each bought a pair of the beach model (all they had). I wear a 10 1/2 (narrow), and bought a large (10-11) but agree they're a bit big. Wish I had ordered a 10 instead in the Cayman, but at least I'm getting the feel of them. I'm glad to read all your updates because I really want a pair of the Nile model, but I'll definitely wait until the regular sizes come out.

My mom wears a 9 1/2 and got the medium (8-9) and loves them. She called shortly after and had me order her a pair online of the Niles in that size as well. We both have problems with foot pain and heel spurs so hopefully these will help too! My mom loves the shoes, but agrees that they look like "orthotics" or "gardening shoes".

One funny story - the first day we got them, we came home and were walking around the block just to try them out. We ran into my 13 year old son, walking home from track practice with a friend. We showed them our new shoes and my mom asked if they looked too stupid. My son's friend said (quite tactfully) - "No, they look futuristic!" So that's the new word for them - they're not dorky or clunky, they're futuristic!

Thanks for all the info on the shoes (never would have heard of them otherwise!)

I ordered a pair of the Niles from Sahalie on 4/8/05 and received them on 4/13/05. They came in whole sizes. I wear a 7 1/2 to an 8...depending on the type of shoe. I ordered the 8 and they fit perfect. To me, the Niles do not have the same support and arch as my Beach ones...the sole is not as thick, but they still feel great on my feet! When I go to Disney, I will probably wear my Beach crocs and save my Niles when I won't be doing a lot of walking.

Well, after reading this thread I had to buy some for myself! I order the black Beach model from shoepavilion.com. Only 29.99 with free shipping! I will let you know when they arrive. princess:

Oh, right, I forgot...we have the same feet.

Shay425 - I looked on the Sahalie site and would like to order a 10. Could you possibly do me a favor and look at the bottoms of yours and tell me if they actually say a whole size (like 8) not 8-9? I know a lot of times, especially with ski stuff for my kids, if something comes in an 11-12, you can order an 11 or a 12, but you'd actually get the 11-12. I just want to make sure before I order these that I don't get the 10-11, but actually a 10. Thanks so much!!!

marciemi, I just looked on the bottom of mine and it says W 8. Hope that helps :)

I tried a pair on at Bass Pro last night, they were the Beach ones and the XSmall were way too wide. I usually wear a 6.5-7 in shoes...I wonder if the largest kids size would fit me better? They didn't have any kids sizes there so I'd have to find them elsewhere or order online. I could tell they'd be really comfy though.

I had the same problem when I ordered my first pair of the Beach ones. I normally wear a 7 1/2 to an 8, so I ordered the 8/9. They were huge! I then ordered a 6/7 and my toes rubbed the front of the shoe. After several days, they have stretched and my toes no longer touch the front. Not sure if this will work for everyone. I sold the larger size to a friend at work. Everyone was interested in the shoes and you would not believe how many feet were in those shoes that day, trying them on! Everyone loved them! They said they were like walking on air or being barefoot. Several have now ordered their own pair!!

You know you are a die hard Crocs fan when:

You slip on a pair of Caymans (complete with holes) to go retrieve the newspaper out of the 20 inches of snow that just fell the night before. Well, actually, Denver got 20 inches, I think we only got about 10. But, my feet stayed warm AND dry.

Dchef - Nice Crocs weather this week, wasn't it?

I know you "think" they are too big but they are not. Like Dchef I can only tell you to buy them and keep wearing them...they conform to your feet. So although they feel big or even too big in the beginning as you walk in them your stride evens out to normal (not just trying them on in a store) and then they start to sink at the heel and adjust to your foot bed. So what ends up happening in a very short period of time (I'm talking in hours or a day or two here) that they sort of conform to your feet and aren't "too" big anymore. I mean you still have the space there but your foot sort of stays more stationary in the shoe. So hard to explain...

What about width wise? The XS fit fine length wise but were really wide.
Thanks for the help, I wanted to order some online today.

:)

shay425- thanks a lot. I'll definitely order a pair then. I think I'll wait a bit because my mom just ordered a pair of the 8-9's. When she gets them (hopefully any time now!) I'll try them on and if they're close to fitting, I may even order the 9's instead of the 10's. My beach ones are just so big (10-11), but the 8-9 were too small, not just a little bit. But since the Nile's are open, maybe it's okay if my toes are bit long. I just have long, narrow feet. Thanks again!

OMG
I did the same exact thing--and you know that squaw that came through late at night and dumped more snow causing school to be out, left some slick spots on the drive and I thought I was going to slip (slightly elevated drive) But I didn't, they did really well on the ice!! How funny...you know I wore them out that day and my feet got a little wet, but much of the snow was gone later the day (people don't usually belive that do they :rotfl: )
30 degrees one day and 60 degrees the next--I Love Colorado (And Crocs)

I have got to stop reading this thread! I ordered the black beach crocs yesterday. Then, I read about how great the Niles are. I just ordered the Sky Blue Niles from stairwaytodenim.com. The race is on to see which arrive first! :moped:

It really is hard to explain --- But it is really hard for me to even begin to comprehend a "narrow" foot since mine are wide. I would still buy them large because they really aren't like other shoes you know!!
