What CROCS did for me!!

dmslush - I love your Castle shot! Very nice.

I got a note two days ago that our Crocs were on backorder. I got a note this morning that they had been shipped. Glad they're coming so quickly. I'd like to be able to give them a try & see how they work (and air them out) before we leave in April.

Thank you! That is a shot from our very first trip, very first time we saw the castle. LOL, I know I have told this story a million times, but I love telling it. We were walking down mainstreet to cindy's breakfast, and the fog was so think that you couldn't see much of anything. The trip was for my dd's 10 birthday, plus a lifelong dream of mine. Back to the story, the fog was so think that we couldn't see the castle, and we were sure where to go. She asked me were the castle was, I told her that I didn't know, but to follow everyone else. Slowly you could see the image, like a shadow of the castle, and then it just POPPED out at us. I swear, it was like walt himself had planned it for she and I. When we saw it, she took off quite fast to get to the castle, that is her in the picture.

I got my crocs order yesterday. I got the red beach ones and they are great! They smelled some yesterday but much less today. Mine are a good fit--large but comfortable. My sister got the pearl ones--nice color-but they don't fit her so well. They are reallllllly loose and she walks funny with them. She can't wear anything backless or flipflops so I think they are just too loose for her. I think we'll try to find some she can try on--I'm thinking she needs the Caymans for a more precise fit.

Yes, they are odd looking. However I'm more into comfort than fashion so I don't care. I'm wearing them at school today (my first graders love them!) and I'm ordering more colors this weekend if my feet still feel this good at the end of the day! :jumping1:

That story & the picture are absolutely Priceless!

I wish we had been thinking & took a picture of my DS's first look at the Castle. I think we were all so overwhelmed that we just didn't think....

HI~

I have been following this thread and since I too have plantar fasciatis and will be going to WDW in June, I thought I would give them a shot. I just got mine today. They are a little big, but are really comfortable. I am going to wear them all day tomorrow to see how my feet do. They are pretty odd looking to me, I am hoping they will start to grow on me. I won't care though if I can wear these walking without my feet killing me at the end of the day.

Thanks for the information on these I have never heard of them before.

Don't worry about the big-ness...you will get used to them, and they will certainly grow on you as they mold to your foot--Please let us know how you do tomorrow. To some they are odd I guess, but since I was wearing Birks too these are no different to me really--but so much more comfortable. I don't care at all how I look if by the end of the day my feet are happy.

I got mine yesterday, the cayman's are great and I wore them all day! The niles were too small, my DD tried them on and claimed them for herself! I ordered size 10 in both. I will order another pair of niles but a size larger.Croc's are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn!!!!
I am also thinking of trying the beach model even though I have narrow foot, because I love the other colors! I think I will order those from zappos because of the return policy. :flower:

I ordered mine on March 9 from the crocs website and they still haven't arrived. How long does it usually take? Our trip is in less than two weeks and I want to have time to get used to them.

I may have to check them out. I have plantar fasciitis, too. I also have idiopathic edema which is basically swelling of the feet for no known reason. I can't stand not wearing socks with shoes.....my feet get way too hot and sweaty. I would need socks and as another poster said, my preteen DS will most probably be so highly embarrased.

Everyone has me intrigued now and as a fellow poster said.....I'm over 40 and in it for the comfort. Although, as I said earlier my pre-teen DS will be mortified.

Wow, for the price, how can you go wrong? Just figuring out the size will be hard.

I know I saw a reply from someone in Texas about trying these on. Where can I find Crocs in the Dallas area? I ordered on line and got a message that they are back ordered so I canceled the order and now want to try them on first.

Thanks for all your help. I am now addicted to DisBoards!!!!!! :hyper:

Greetings from Frisco!

I got mine at the SE corner of Preston and Beltline. It is in a strip shopping center. I can not remember the name of the place, but Sheila assisted me and her telephone number is 469-231-4593. She should be getting in a whole new order soon, if not already. She is very helpful. Also, once you eventually purchase 10 pairs from her, she will give you your 11th pair for free!

Also, here is a very helpful website that will give you all of the area's sellers. This came from another DISer and it worked like a charm. Let me know if you were able to get into it. The website is: http://www.crocs.com/dealers.asp

Have a great day! And yes, I love my Crocs! I am still getting used to them, but am looking at buying another pair from Sheila soon (maybe this week!). :earsgirl:

Ok~

So it hasn't been a whole day yet, but.....I.....LOVE them!!!! :bounce:

In fact, I am going to order another pair, the nile, I think. These shoes are FANTASTIC!!

OK, great, this thread has hooked me, lured me, and yet, I'm still resisting...

I have looked at shoes, I hate wearing my tennis shoes all the time, yes I have now joined the 'bone spur/plantar.. problem

Truly? Will they help? Last night I walked around with a cane, after a day of shoe shopping!! (and thanks for the link of area dealers!) :confused3

I just checked out that croc.com site...but no one sells em in Canada, much less Nova Scotia. Oh well, I have to wait until the summer and get them when I go to Maine. I only wish I bought em while I was in Florida last month...but I just heard about em after I got back. grrrr....

Thank you so much disneyaggie, I will give her a call. This Grandma need comfortable shoes for my first trip to WDW in July. I have to keep up with 3 gandkids and son and dil. :flower3:

Trust Me--They helped me SO much. You really don't have a whole bunch of money to lose--they are priced resonably. If you don't like them, just throw them up on ebay and you are sure to sell them!! Go for it ..your feet will love you.
