What crazy life changes are you making?

Ugh…crazy but I’m downsizing Disney. It’s been a big part of our family vacations for over forty years. Slowly but surely weeding out programming, entertainment and parks. The big dumps may soon come with DVC and stock. They can’t seem to right the ship and their current captains don’t appear up to the task. It’s sad because it’s been a big source of joy for many many years. It’s stretched into four generations. Never thought we’d reach this point. It began with “improvements and enhancements” but has jumped the shark in recent years..especially the last one. Oddly…we are all on the same page.

Between profit seeking and what's being called revenge travel, this year is a mess. I completely understand. I'm waiting for the bugs to be worked out and the revenge travel to come down. Next year looks more reasonable.

Same. Been going at least once a year since 1998, but this year we have no plans to go and I don't even feel sad about it.

The price doesn't bother me. A can of sardines is more, and I have had trouble getting herring since the pandemic started. Costco used to carry it, so I used to eat herring every day.
My kids stopped their ridicule during the pandemic. Mom had toilet paper, Lysol, paper towels, a freezer full of meat and a large stocked pantry. etc. I wasn’t quite so silly then. 😉

I am selling my house and going to a condo. DH passed away so big life changes for me. I have to learn to live alone which is not something I have ever done. I am with one of my sons now. We had to clean out the house because DH was a pack rat. My advice is to declutter and don't leave it to your family. I am trying not to collect alot of stuff now.

Stay at home mom with an almost 6 month old. I’ve been loving every moment with him. Trying to get back to good eating habits like I was while pregnant. I feel like I was in better shape pregnant than not. But I looked at food differently while pregnant.

I got a puppy. I’m 64; DH and I are both retired, so we were able to get up and go anywhere, anytime. Not anymore!

I thought an energetic puppy would help me be less lazy and get more fit, and I just wanted my very own lap dog in my old age. I’ve had my new baby for about six weeks and I adore him and he adores me. Best thing I’ve done in a long time.

I’m sorry for your loss. After getting my house sorted to list, I concur with your decluttering advice! A new plan for my new place :)

My husband is currently off work with a work place injury. Second time in less than 6 months. He's been there for 17 1/2 years and wants to retire in 9 years....just not sure he's going to make it that long. Trying to use this time off to find him something different.

Speaking from experience, slowly is easier. Pick a small area to tackle (say, a drawer) and do that first. Trying to do too much at once will just overwhelm you, then you'll get discouraged and stop. Scheduling it also helps. Say "on Saturday from 2pm-3pm I'm going to tackle THIS drawer". If you get done sooner, maybe you look at something else, maybe you don't.

This.

Unless you're moving, then do it all at once.

Definitely.

My rescue is cuddling next to me as I type this.
