What would be worse is not having a DVC trip already booked and another one in the planning stages.

Feels like an eternity, but we're finally down to less than 3 months from check-in. Each night, DW tells me she's planning to head to the pool bar and get a beverage before even checking in.

What could be worse, knowing you have a DVC vacation scheduled but a career making or breaking project needs you and you'll have to cancel the long awaited DVC trip that you scheduled at the 11 month mark and your vacation was supposed to start tomorrow.

I just informed my kids that our next trip was booked for April and they said "we have to wait until then?!?!". My sentiments exactly!

Nah, but that would be worse! Thank goodness I don't have to worry about that sort of thing anymore since I'm retired. And thank goodness that is something the OP doesn't have to worry about either.

It all depends on your perspective, I guess. Those of us who are retired, semi-retired, or otherwise able to sit here on the DIS amd muse about Mickey are very, very fortunate.

But with unemployment at 10% (and that doesn't count people who have given up looking, which is probably an equal or greater number), and events like the never-ending fiasco in the Gulf States, I'm sure there are folks who could come up with something worse than missing Disney.

Having to sell your all of your SSR points (at $60/pt hen you bought at $95/pt) because you just lost your job and the only way to get another position is to relocate to another State.

Is that worse?

I'm counting down our trip to DL on October 1! I just can't wait and it's driving me crazy! We have a 2bd at the GCV. We usually go in the September time frame (so I'm always wishing for summer to be over) when the kids go back to school (no kids here) and its less crowded, but now October seems so so so far away!

How about a business trip to orlando with your boss, who gives you no time to go to DW by filling the day with meetings and demands you go home immediately to finish an important project. So close yet so far away!

Reminds me of the old Hew Haw song... Gloom, despair, and agony on me....ooooooohhhhh. Deep dark depression, excessive misery..... Oooooohhhh... And so forth...
