I'm sure this has been asked before, but I haven't been able to find it using the search function. What necessities are found in the studios. I know there is a microwave and small frig. Are there real dishes or plastic (and utensils) or do we need to bring our own. Do we need to bring dish detergent? Will the frig hold a gallon jug of milk or only a 1/2 gallon?

Thanks in advance.

The refrigerator is the larger undercounter size with a small freezer section. You'll have room for a gallon of milk.

You'll get disposables for plates, bowls and flatware. OKW will have disposable cups. Others will have reusable mugs (maybe two) and glasses (maybe four).

Paper/plastic for plates & bowls. Plastic utensils, but not enough for a family for more than a day unless you wash them. There is also a toaster & coffee maker. I highly recomend bringing your own coffee & basket filters :goodvibes

Not meaning to hijack the thread, would someone please explain the towel thing again for me. We will check in on a Sunday and out the following Monday, so when will we get fresh towels/trash?

Also, is there a place we can take our trash out daily? Finally, what about getting more toilet tissue? (sorry, but that is kinda important ;) )

Thanks!

If you are staying at least 8 nights, you will get your villa fully cleaned on day 4 and your trash removed and towels replaced on day 8. If you stay 7 nights or less, you will get your towels replaced and your trash removed on day 4. Depending on where you are staying, there should be a trash room relatively close to your villa. There is one for each building at OKW and SSR. There is one on each floor at BWV, BCV, VWL, AKV. You should have a few rolls of toilet paper in your villa. If you need more, call housekeeping. If you have any problems in your villa, pick up the phone and call either housekeeping or maintenance (whatever type of problem it is). Don't call the front desk. You'll get a call center somewhere that will act like it is the front desk.

We stayed in an AKL studio and purchased groceries at the Publix closest to the resort and therefore ate breakfast and lunch for about 7 days. We quickly ran out of the disposable plates/bowls and silverware and luckily had purchased some cheap microwavable bowls because we bought several cans of soup. I highly recommend bringing or purchasing real bowls if you are microwaving anthing because what they provide is very flimsy! We ended up leaving the "real" stuff because we didn't want to take it back to California.

We even asked them for a blender and they brought it up to us! I was pleasantly surprised with the refrigerator because it was much larger inside than I had expected and fit our week's worth of groceries.

I also recommend purchasing another roll of paper towels and clorox wipes to wipe off the countertops.

The kitchenette was wonderful because I never had to "cook" but just assemble a few sandwhiches and heat up soup. After eating non stop on the Dis cruise, a simple sandwhich was a delicacy!

there are more paper rolls - under the wet sink (big sink in the kitchennett)

there will at least one more rolls of toliet paper in the bathroom under the sink.

that say the toliet paper is not high quality. Always include with my grocery list (taking DME) to wegoshop - charmin'.
