(Re: Popeye's...they must've been having trouble with it all weekend because we got stuck on it twice in the 2 1/2 days we were there. The first time we even had to be escorted off the ride. The second time we just got delayed for a couple of minutes at one point, and then finally got to go on through.)

Please do! Did DS ever figure out where you were? We are eagerly awaiting all the details Glad we only were belted in our seats on Popeye, no fun to climb off rides on ladders had to do it 1st time i rode the TOT; least we got FPs.

mac - u r hardly mid-west stock; able to weather all sorts of inclement weather they throw @ you.

barb - FOTL sure does take most of the sting out of the hot & stickies; guess if i've got to be wilting from the humidity it might as well be on vacation. Talked to several TMs, they said while born & raised in central FL, they never really get used to that degree of discomfort...one laughed said she couldn't understand why anyone would pick to come to FL in the summer.

just like I'll never understand why people come to the north in the winter


...or, how about this? Why do homeless people stay north where it is brutal cold in the winter? Why don't they head south? I'd rather deal with the brutal heat for a few months, than 5 months of brutal cold?? (They could start walking....they ain't got nuthin' better to do )

I don't mind the cold, hate snow & ice though (except for the 1st pretty one we get each year).

We were supposed to work in Las Vegas & Grand Canyon next summer when we head out to DL...

until they had the recent heat wave when it went to 115 . I don't care what they say about dry heat/low humidity - hot is hot. Saw the abc video re the huge dust storm too outside of Phoenix, looked very scary.
