We have custom made built in wardrobes and a dressing table in an off white. The carpet is a deepish pink.

The wallpaper is very pale cream/white with a very discreet stripe.

Our duvet and matching pillow slips are a pale cream, pink and green.

A very simple colour scheme.:D

Edited to add more!

Umm...well....it's a variety of colors. When you have a 3 year old sharing your room, anything goes :)

our house is still under a year old, so we can't paint yet (or so my builder says)

but when I do paint it will be sage green and a pale yellow...our carpet is a non-descript beigy color...very boring

Periwinkle blue walls, with a big, fluffy white down comforter. I have a few dark green accents. Beige, ugly carpet that needs to be replaced desperately!

Much to DH's disgust, the walls are a pinkish. The carpet is cream colored. The room is a genuine mess. After everything else, I'm repainting and getting a new carpet. And maybe someday - a bedroom set that actually MATCHES.;)

Last summer we redid our master bedroom, it was a mismash of things old and new before, and now it's beautiful! The walls are periwinkle blue (my favorite color), and we have the Fontana Broyhill bedroom set. There's an off-white blanket on the bed, and we have beach themed photos on the walls. It's very simple and clean and fresh feeling. I LOVE it. :)

I don't understand.... why can't you paint yet??

BTW, my room has cream walls, tan carpet. The walls are stenciled up near the ceiling with sort of a star quilt pattern done in cranberry, navy, and green. My curtains are a navy and white plaid (sort of) and when I have the "company" quilt on, it is a star quilt with a navy border and navy, cranberry and other assorted colors in the stars. Our "everyday" comforter is just plain beige, but it is so soft and comfy.... I've had it since 1981!! But of course, today, it is decorated in "laundry day" piles and "cleaning the closet" clutter !! Don't know about you guys, but my room seems to be the family "dump"..... dont' know where it goes... put it in Mom's room!!..................P:p

Beige carpet and walls....White furniture with pine tops......Blue down comforter with green (kinda light olive)skirt and throw.....Beachy sheets and toss pillows from Pottery Barn.....and my favorite, a print of The Tree of Life above the bed!

My walls are "romantic pink" (we won't even go there) and I have a pretty quilt with tulips on it. As far as my bedroom furniture, it's in pretty bad shape, I've had it for about 26 yrs and it was a hand me down then!

My walls are pale gray, my carpet is neutral, and my windows and bed are black & white toile by Waverly. I love the lack of color in my room...go figure! It is relaxing to me. I also love the black and white prints we hung in black frames. The only real color I have is a Tinkerbell cel on my side of the bathroom! (oh, and I accent one small pillow in color. Right now it is a rd pillow with a pink heart on it. I'm looking to but the Mickey Island pillow next;) )

I guess to let the house 'settle' fully and to allow the house go through all 4 seasons and "adjust" to the weather.

:confused3

I dunno...waiting until the fall to paint though...don't like painting in the summer

Quite frankly, I never heard of such a thing!! Are your walls painted at all right now??.....................P

Neutral beige carpet, sage green walls (official color: Green tea leaf), and the comforter set is in tan, sage, golden with Palm Trees. It's a jungle room! :)

Walls are white - yuk! Comforter and sheer curtains are beige & yellow with green & red leaves. Room-darkening duets shades. This room is in need of major redecorating! Hopefully, this summer I'll either sponge-paint or learn a great wall technique!

I guess you could say a kind of nautical theme??

Our walls are painted a light slate blue color, white trim, and white dressers. Even my comforter is white. I have incorporated violet and light green into the mix for more color, and it has worked out nice - even DH likes it - I just about fainted when he told me that :faint:

stinkerbelle- I've never heard of such a thing either. We bought our house new and painted 3 rooms the night we closed on the house.

Anyway, our bedroom as 3 tan walls (color was called peanut butter) and 1 wall is burgundy- that the bed is against. The comforter is tan, and have tan and burgundy pillows on the bed.

My bedroom is beige, sage & burgundy. My furniture is a pecan color.

Walls and floor-beige
Bathroom wall-light sage
Burgundy accents.

Yours sounds really nice. I like to decorate.

You can get a lot of nice vintage, antique stuff at thrift shops and flea markets. I found a really gorgeous Victorian style lamp for only twenty dollars.

I like the pink carpet idea!:sunny:

We recently added 2 rooms to our home, which included the master bedroom. I therefore got to do it all over from top to bottom. We have double closets painted in white and white plantation blinds on the 4 windows. The trim is also white. The walls are a very dark blue (almost navy) by Ralph Lauren. The carpet is sort of shaggy (the new style that's out now) of muted colors with a slight tinge of navy threads throughout. I have dark blue, with a beautiful patterned sheer-like scarves above the blinds that drape to the floor. The bed is covered with a white, striped down comforter and the bedskirt and sheets are both navy blue. Over our bed we have a local artist's seascape painting from Hilton Head, which I love. We also have a white ceiling fan/light hanging over the bed.

I so enjoy our room now. I was a little ambivalent about the dark color, but because there are so many windows, it works. It's very calming and relaxing and a real haven for DH and I.

It's not that you CAN'T paint, but new houses settle and the drywall might get some cracks and nail pops in it. So they probably told you not to paint till that happens (IF it happens) so you don't have to retouch your new paint. :) We live in a newer house and we didn't wait to paint. We knew we might have to touch it up later though so we saved the extra paint... if there was any. :)
