What color??

What color do you think is a color that last no matter how old you get?

I am re-doing my room and want to know what color.
I don't want to get like (for ex.) hot pink, because I know I will outgrow it next year.
I want really light colors, nothing dark.

I was thinking something like this.

I would do like a light blue (not baby blue tho!) on the walls and orange accents. Like orange flowers on nightstand, ect.

i also like a turqoise wall with brown accents. Those colors just always appeal to me.

I would agree. I would say aqua would be one that lasted.

I think aqua would be the worst one... it's a very young colour, and just isn't something you would probably like when you're older. And don't follow trends either, because whatever colour is popular now, probably wont be in a few years.

i did mine shades of purple. Its really pretty and if the paint job was better (i did it myself when i was like 12) It would look very sophisticaded.

I am painting my room a light brown. Not exactly a tan, but kind of a mix between the two. That way I can change the accent colors whenever I want to. Then if I want to, I can use trend colors without having to completely repaint my room after they go out of style

my room is biege. i change my color theme all the time when colors come in and out of style. its nutreal (sp?) so it goes with everything.

Personally, I'm redoing mine with wide stripes. Either an ocean blue with a lighter blue, or olive green with a cream colour.
I've always liked striped rooms, so I know I won't regret it.

Deep purples are nice, but also are light yellows and greens.
