What CM Told Me About PINs

It would make sense that CMs are receiving more calls checking on pins and they should expect it. The economy has been down for so long, now, and some people have put their WDW trip off for a couple of years or more hoping to get a job and some money together for a trip. They may now have a little money put aside but they need more of a discount to make it work.

Goviemom....call back! If I understand you correctly, you are discouraged by a CM telling you no matter how they input your info, you absolutely do not have a pin. Well...you never know! Earlier this week, I called 5 times in one day, was very polite each time. However they continuously told me I had no pins. They even said they couldn't see the two pins I had last month. My 6th time, voila, a pin was miraculously there. Within 4 minutes of my previous call.
I'll never understand that.
P.S. in the last two months, I have had three diff pin codes, NONE of which were ever sent to my e-mail or home address..and everyday I check my junk folder.

We get e-mail PINs all the time....in our friend's name (who we went with in 2007) and in DMIL's name (who went with us in 2006). Unfortunately we can never use them, since the PINs are attached to names...which are not in our party. We never get e-mail/mail PINs and I have never had one "attached" to my name either. I think we go too frequently.

Truth is, I've never had to use a PIN - we've always ended up better deals eventually through public codes or Disney Visa.

It has been my experience that only the address on a pin matters. My sister (who lives in my house and has a different last name than I do) got a free dining pin last year for the October black outs. I was able to go online and book a trip without her ever being on the reservation. As long as you are comfortable with the address your travel documents are going to, it is no issue. When you are asked on the form who your traveling party is, all lines are able to be changed, so I listed myself as first. We went and had a great time with zero issues on a borrowed pin. Try to book online and see!

PS. Why not have your relatives call and have their address changed to yours so travel documents arrive at your house.

I never got an email with the % off room pin that expired the 28th until after I boked my trip! My DH called to ask and the CM said there was one on my name. I never got an email. I check both of my emails and Spam daily. I called a few days later and told the CM I had a pin and he said, "Of course." No problems at all. A few days after we booked I got an email with the pin. I haven't called on this one because it's not for our dates. The emails do not always get through.

Wow. It sounds like their system is set up very poorly.
