What Christmas/Hanukkah presents did you recieve this holiday?

My oldest son took us to Walt Disney a world (12-8 thru 12-12). My younger son bought me a new sectional. Got figure, they split the cost of a Terrvis Tumbler from Grand Floridan for me.

And.. the gift that made me cry- backstory-I work with prenatal women and women trying to conceive. I saw a client two months ago that had been trying to conceive for over two years. She popped up my client schedule as a prenatal appointment!!!!

I received a huge plushy robe (currently wearing it) and some gift cards. Oh, and my aunt puts scratch-off lottery tickets in our stockings; I won forty bucks.

Nothing too special this year, but a few nice things. I got one of those electric mugs that keeps your drink hot - I sip my chai tea slowly and it always goes cold! I got another R2-D2 mug with a dome cover that makes noise. Otherwise, a couple of video games and Disney collectibles - plus a Disney gift card, which is as good as cash to me.

The best present went to my Stepdad this year. My mom got him an X-Tool laser cutter, and honestly, I have never seen him react to a gift like that. Usually, he looks at it for a moment trying to figure it out exactly before saying something like, "Oh, that's cool!" This time it was like A Chrsitmas Story! Actually, the parents did well this year - between me and my sister we did pretty well for them, which is much deserved.

My son gifted us tickets to Disneyland and the premier lightning lane pass. Went on Dec 22 and it was a magical day!

As a shoe lover, I’m pretty giddy about three new pairs of sneakers, but the more practical side of me is excited about the gifts to upgrade my home office. DH got me a new extra cushiony office chair and an electric desk that can be raised and lowered so I can use it with my walking pad.

Many cards from friends, and lots of food gifted to me by many from my old community. They always make sure I am well taken care of over the holidays. I love them all so much.

It was all about the kids.

I remember the year our boys got 50's for Christmas. That started an expensive several years as they grew, but they enjoyed the hell out of their dirtbikes and racing.

Santa brought us 3 nights at the Yacht Club in 2 weeks for a quick get away.

DGS made me, DH and his parents a stuffed slice of pizza.....so cute. The 2 we got are on our bed. He's 7.
DGD made me (and her mother) a stepping stone with tile pieces that look like a dragon (her favorite thing) and she carved DH a soapstone bear and her father a wolf. She's 11. (She made me a turtle last year.

The lots of other things, but those are the most precious and prized

I got the American Girl Moana doll.



I also finally got my aunt to give me my grandma's Fiesta Ware dishes. I was supposed to get them when she died. My grandma's been gone for over 20 years. I brought it up to my aunt several times over the years. She always blew me off or made excuses that never made sense. I brought it up again when we were discussing what my mom needed for Christmas. She finally agreed.

Precious time with the family together. After the pandemic took away some of that, along with family members lost over the past few years - there is no greater gift than being together to just enjoy the day!

My friend who doesn't even celebrate Christmas got me an Ancestry DNA kit which has been a running joke for years but I didn't think she'd actually buy one LOL

We decide to only do small gifts/ stocking stuffers this year since we have a big trip in the Spring. My daughters got me some bath salts and a restaurant gift card for myslef and my husband. I also got 3 things of chocolates and a book from DH. I also got a puzzle from my work Secret Santa.

We stopped giving gifts years ago. However, DH has 5 international scuba trips in 2025, we have an African safari booked, I am doing a river cruise during one of his trips, and a solo Disney trip during another, and we are looking to buy a new car, so lots of fun things for us!
