Anyone remember after school specials?
Thank you all for enjoying all the Krofft shows, sid and marty were named after my family, not sure why they choose our last name....my story is that my grandfather gave them a free ride on the train and being humble, they choose his last name....there is no history....in my limited research...on how the name was choosen. Made for great fun to sit around Saturday morning to see my last name on TV. wasn't until the mid 80s, when I settled down and started my career in selling collectables that my Krofft collection grew large.....the strange part is that there was an actual witchapoo doll.Seems like many replied to the thread title, without reading the part above from OP, as a continuation of the question.
I agree, all the Krofft shows were “out there”, and Lidsville was probably the weirdest. Also The Lost Saucer, with Jim Nabors and Ruth Buzzi as space aliens. Not too weird, just really cheesy, LOL.
Another odd show that I loved was “Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp”. All the characters were live chimps with dubbed voices. My brothers and I thought it was hysterical.

Actually, I loved that one...which may explain a few things.
Davy and goliath cued me then saw wallace....we all have forgotten GUMBY!!!!!Already Mentioned: Mister Rogers, Sesame Street, Great Space Coaster, Brady Bunch, Smurfs, Scooby Doo
Not Mentioned: Fat Albert, You Can't Do That on Television, Tom & Jerry, Captain Caveman, Shirt Tales, Davey & Goliath animation on Sunday mornings.
Honorable Mention: didn't watch (was 12 years old) but when I moved to Phoenix I heard kids talk about how they used to love watching The Wallace & Ladmo Show. So, I had to check it out so I was in "the know."Definitely for kids, but it was a right of passage for Phoenix kids in mid 1950's through 1980's.

OMG, the one that freaked me out was The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh. I was pretty young, but I just remember a dark story and the creepy scarecrow masks. Frightened the heck out of me; even the theme song was scary. But I had older siblings who loved it.
no idea why watched gumby
