What characters are on the cruise??

Hi everyone
This is our first time cruising and I wanted to know who are the characters that will be on the cruise. My dd is familiar with pretty much all the Disney characters but my son who is 3 only knows Mickey and the modern ones. My daughter only watches The Disney Channel and my son is a PBS kid, so you can imagin "TV TIME" I just wanted to buy (if I don't have them) some dvd's, so he can become more familiar with the characters before we board.

I read that they discontinued Hercules but I wanted to know if he's a character that walks around the cruise. (That's someone my son doesn't know).
He knows who Barney and Jay Jay is tho

We'll be cruising on the West Coast August 13-20, 2005

Wow!! Didn't expect that many characters I have to refresh my memory on some of these characters. I am not familiar with Wendy Darling (tea time), Queen of Hearts, Smee, and Cindy . Please do not get upset I'm afraid to ask my hard core Disney Friends in person cause they may Slap me

Wendy Darling is from Peter Pan. Smee is from Peter Pan (Captain Hook's first mate). Queen of hearts is from Alice in Wonderland. I am not sure who Cindy is though?? Anyone else??

Terk is from Tarzan. Rosie O'Donnell played Terk in the movie. She is a gorilla. Have fun. I'm sad to be home!!!!

I'm trying to put together an autograph book for my son, so I'd hate to leave anyone out.

we had no idea who Wendy was, either! we saw her roaming around, she was wearing her blue nightgown dress thing. and we had just came from an character mingling thing...and we saw her, and i was asking our boys (2 & 4 at the time) if she was a character? and they didn't know. then we started seeing couple people going over to her with autograph books, and so our boys went to get her autograph. both my DH and i thought she was just one of the little teenager on the ship...and only when our boys came back & we saw her autograph, did we realized she's Wendy! and we had to ask one of the little child seeking her autograph who Wendy was!

there are so many characters...and you'll run into them when you least expect, as well as those scheduled character mingling/autograph session times! it's really cute seeing all those little faces delighted in seeing the various characters! i would love to be one on the ship!

just don't forget to have your DD & DS carry their autograph books everywhere you go!

Thank for that info RSJJ. I would have only brought the autograph book out during the signing. I will keep it in my bag everyday. That's why I love this site You learn something everyday about your up and coming cruise

Dopey! I wanted to add that we saw Dopey on the 3/17/05 Wonder. Twice! My DD is a huge Dopey fan first two trips to WDW have never seen him at the parks... Ran into him twice on the cruise have some wonderful pictures and a shiney new signature to add to the collection.

Also want to note that this last trip to WDW all seven dwarves were at the front of MK but have heard that- that is a rare occaision. No autographs photos only but what a special time!

I think the cruise offered better character availability and more variety than I expected.
