OK this may sound wierd but we are going to be in DW at the BWV 2/18-2/23 in a Studio. My wife is addicted to this temptation island show on FOX. Well as luck would have it, the final episode is on Wed night while we are there :( .
Do you get FOX at WDW resorts (BWV)?
I also would like to know if the VCRs at the BWV can record and do they have timers? We are planning for the MK on Wed and don't want to miss the fireworks. We are planning back ups home to record the show but it would be great to be able to record it there and see it later that night.

TIA

yes, fox is on the tv. I did not like the control for the tv/vcr in BW. OKW is better you can do what you want there without help. I think you may have to call for help in the BW and maybe they will bring you a better control for the vcr.

hi: you may want to call and check this, but i don't think the studios have a vcr in them. i think they are just in the larger units. if so, maybe housekeeping will be able to bring one for you.

There wasn't a VCR in either the Studio plus or the second bedroom of a 2 Bdrm that we were recently assigned. There was a VCR in the living room of the 2 Bdrm, but we didn't use it so I don't know if it could be used to record. I agree that it's worth a call to housekeeping to see if you could get one for the evening. Hope it works out and that you have a great trip.

We stayed in the 1 br and I was able to record Millionaire last May when the celebrities were on, only thing is; there is no way to set it for certain times they only way is to hit record on the vcr itself and it records on the channel the tv is set on. Also if I remember right it recorded for 2 hours or so no much longer than that. I brought blank tapes from home. I don't know if housekeeping has instructions or not to be able to record from the remote, at the time I didn't think of asking them.

Thanksgiving of 1999 a friend of our was in the Macy's Day Parade while we were at OKW. We called for help with the VCR and they said it was tricky and they would send a maintenance man to set it. Well, we thought he knew what he was doing and accepted it as set. Needless to say, when we returned, lo and behold, it had not recorded the right channel.
I would definitely test it first if you have time.

Aside from the above great tips, I would ask someone at home to tape it for you just for insurance!
