Newbie says hello! I've been lurking on DIS for months and have learned so much from reading others' posts. Today I saw a question on the boards that I felt I could answer and thought it was time to pluck up my courage and post. Are there others like me who lurk for a long time before posting?

I LURKED for months and months and one day same as you I saw a posting that I knew I could speak to intelligently and was ready to POST. I also think some wait til they have a trip planned or a question that has not been asked! Those were my reasons...WELCOME ABOARD!!!

Hello!

I have decided to stop lurking because I have burning questions about trip planning that have not been answered in recent time. And I wouldn't mind participating in the more fun discussion of Disney, now that I have registered.

Me too! I lurked for months and only in the last few weeks have a started posting. For me it was just so much information to absorb and it took me awhile to feel comfortable posting.

Welcome to all the new posters, glad you stopped lurking & jumped on in.

Like everyone else, the madness is too hard to resist! ;)

I lurked for months while planning my trip last month. But when I saw a SUV driving down the road with a Mickey head trailer hitch and my first thought was hidden Mickey and these boards I knew it was time to either quit reading or start posting. Well here I am.

I lurked for about a year, I was determined to get through the Dining, Resorts, and Strategies board, by the time I read millions of posts and went to start over, there thousands new posts. So I came out of lurkyland and started posting

I too was a "lurker" for a few months before I posted, and I think it was because I had a question that I had not seen posted that I finally took the plunge! :goodvibes .

Now that I've jumped in I have to agree wholeheartedly with magicaldisney when they stated that "once you start you won't be able to stop" :yay:

Have fun with it, it really adds to DIS experience! :thumbsup2

I have lurked for awhile.
I learned of this board from WDWtoday.
But it was questions about dvc that did it for me.
I'm still not knowledgeable enough about disneyworld enough to answer questions but i hope i am soon.
Everyone has been nothing but nice on these forums.
I'm used to forums with major flame wars.
It's just nice to see good people just hanging out and talking.

God knows i still don't know much but i'm learning.
Can i get dvc for scopa towers? Hehe.
Have fun.

I lurked for a long time too.I decided to register when my Dh agreed to go to DW in 1 year instead of 2. So now I can ask questions.

Congratulations to all who have shed the title of "lurker"!!!! Welcome aboard, but beware it's VERY addicting. Glad to have you with us!

I lurked for months to get the information before our last trip. I thought that once I had this trip I could stop wanting more disney. Wrong!!!! When the trip was over I just wanted more. One week after my trip I logged on and started posting. Also started to plan next years trip. :teeth:

Welcome to the Wonderful World of "Dis"! Now that you all have joined let's party! :cool1:  :cheer2: :dance3: :yay: party:

:welcome: But I must warn you .... reading and then feeling the urge to finally post .... that just leads to MORE reading to see who responds. :rotfl2:

I was a lurker TEN years ago and didn't ask many questions, but I must admit that the tips and tricks of the trade found here let us save about $1000.

ASK anything you can think of, post stuff you think others might not know. just have fun :disrocks:

I stumbled across the site in researching Disneyland for our first trip there. I lurked for about a month, reading all of the DL stickies, then moving on to all the posts, about 15 pages of titles alone!

I finally needed to ask some questions of my own that I hadn't seen asked before, so I joined. Whoooeeee, I have learned so much since then! That was last February, and I think I have an embarrassing 800+ posts now... and still haven't been to DL yet! Going in September, WOOHOO!
