I love the new Astras - I keep looking, but they're not cheap (well, not the one I want, anyway ).

I'm on my second diesel polo. Very reliable, 500 miles on £45 of diesel, and £35 a year road tax. Would recommend to anyone.

That's what i would like next but my trusty Honda CRV is happily plodding along and we have decided not to replace it until it starts costing us money or dies! I really don't need such a big car now i don't have the horses, but the only expence is road tax and petrol and i only drove 2750 miles in it last year

Thats like us, our car is five years old and we've only done 23,000 in those five years. We have an insurance policy which limits us to 6000 a year - we never do that much so it's cheaper.....

DH has a Seat at the moment (Ibiza) which he has been pleased with. He says its basically a VW car under the shell.

My mum has a Honda Jazz and they're great little cars, i'll be getting it soon hopefully (she's having to get an automatic due to a knee replacement) I have a VW Polo right now which is also good. Both the Jazz and Polo are great for fuel
