What Candy Should I Hand Out at Halloween?

Folks,

I am stuck at home (not at the Fort) and I am facing my annual Halloween dilemma.

I'll be stuck at home handing out Halloween candy. It just so happens ;) that whatever candy is leftover is consumed here at home (oh I pace myself. One piece per day - but I have trouble with other household members being so particular). Therefore I have a vested interest in whatever I hand out because that's what's left over.

I favor anything chocolate in nature but I realize there is more than cocoa and sugar and milk in life (although I don't know what :scratchin ). I can wait till after work on Thursday (Halloween Day itself) to stop at WalMart and get whatever the vote decides.

Here are the choices.

1. Chocolate- Bite sized Milky Way or Snickers Bars
2. Chocolate- Bite sized Kit Kat Bars
3. Chocolate- Small packets of M&Ms
4. Non-Chocolate- Bite-Size pieces of Twizzlers licorice candy
5. Non-Chocolate- Sweet Tarts packets

Bama Ed

PS - I meant to do this as a Poll but screwed that up so I will scratch tally the votes.

I say give 4 & 5 away ASAP.

Then work on 1, followed grudgingly with 3.

When you get to 2, tell them you are all out, then give me a call. Take me about 2 hours to get there, but I'll help get rid of evidence.

I somewhat agree with chateau,,buy 1 2 & 3 and then turn off the lights and pull the shades and eat it yourself.

Just kidding !!

no I'm not.

yes I am.

For the past 6 years we have given the kids sugar free of any brand. Must be ok becuse the # of kids has increased each year.

I agree, if there is ranch dip then I'm in. Otherwise, put this at number 6.

This year I'm gonna give out strips of Wright Bacon. Mmmmmmmmmmmm bacon.

We handed out maltshop lollipops at the campground this year and the kids loved them. When I ran out of those we handed out a mix of Hershey chocolate. If they had a Raven's jersey on they got Almond Joy, Steeler's jersey got 2 pieces of candy:rotfl2:
We ran out at 180 kids.

I'd love to be at The Fort for Halloween some year pixiedust:

Twizzlers

I started out buying stickers, pencils, rings, etc. The teenagers probably hated those treat bags! Then I got the big Hershey's sample size candies & filled treat bags with those. We never had many leftovers, so I didn't have to worry about it. We had between 80-125 kids when we lived in town.

We have no trick-or treaters now, living in the country. I alway buy a small bag of candy, just in case. I used to get Reeces because I like them! Now I buy Smarties because I don't like them, but DH & DD do. This way I'm not tempted to eat them.

Any candy is good, well not really, but most large multi packs have the good candy. Plus, I like the idea of sugar free, as there are many who can't have sugar. Have fun giving it out, the Fort is looking festive!!
