I was wondering if anyone has gone to Smuggler's Notch in Vermont. From their brochure, it looks really nice. I guess I'd like to know what their accommodations are like; is the place run well; how is the food; how long a stay would you recommend? Even if you had a bad experience here, please post it. I really have no idea about this place and would like to get as much feed back as possible, good or bad.

Thanks in advance:D

I was up there several years ago, skiing, and it was very nice; this was almost 10 years ago. If I remember correctly it is very far up in Vermont, quite a haul. You didn't get the kind of crowds you get in southern vermontlike Okemeo.
The nightlife, at the time, left something to be desired, but it wouldn't surprise me that it was better now.

Sorry I couldn't be more help, but it's been a while, and the last time I was there was during a college trip.

I think they are also open for the summer season. I have seen the brochure but I haven't talked to anyone who has been there. I would be curious to see what others think. I twould be a good weekend trip for us.

Would this be a skiing trip or during the summer? Smugglers Notch is beautiful! Located in Stowe which is absolutely breathtaking. Great skiing and during the summer they have a wonderful bike path where you can rent rollerblades or bikes. There is also hiking trails.

Not far from Stowe (about 1/2 hr or so) North is Burlington. This town is great! Great restaurants and it is famous for Church Street really beautiful with all the lights during the holidays. Or again, if you are visiting during the summer there is Lake Champlain located right in downtown Burlington where you can have dinner at the Boat House right on the water.

Also, not far from Stowe is BEN & JERRYS FACTORY. Really fun with kids as you can do their tour and get free ice cream at the end.

Feel free to ask away with any questions you may have. Vermont is beautiful you will love it here. Since I live not far from Stowe I will be happy to get any information you may need.

If we go it would be during the summer. Right now we don't have serious plans to go. I just received their brochure and it looked nice and from what you described it sounds like it is really nice and they have a lot to do.
If we decide to go, I'll definitely PM you with questions. That is, if you don't mind:D
