We have tons given to us from my mother in-law, but you can only have so much stew! Any recipes???

Chili, curry, pot pie, soup, meat sauce. Do you have a food processor or an old style meat grinder--if so, you can make your own ground meat.

Grilled kabobs. Put meat and vegetables (mushrooms, onions, peppers, zucchini, etc) on skewers, marinate with your choice of marinades (including just plain Italian dressing) and then grill.

meat, gravy & either rice or potatos... can't think of what to call it but lightly flour and season the meat, brown it, add some sort of juice (water & seasons, beef broth etc) simmer until tender (stew meat can sometimes be tough) when ready, thicken the sauce into a "gravy" and serve with potatos or rice.

also, we like what we call hawaiian beef (basically the meat with a sweet & sour sauce)

goulash
marinate, skewer and grill.
cut into smaller pieces and make a stir fried rice.

Beef tips on rice.

Brown 1 lb. of stew meat in a pan with your spices of choice. I use Garlic salt and dried onions. Boil water and make a package of egg noodles (16 oz.). When the noodles are just about done, make 2 cups of brown gravy. I just use powdered gravy, the kind you mix with water. Drain the noodles and put them back in the pan you boiled them in, pour a little gravy and meat on it and stir, then pour the rest of the meat and gravy over the noodles, stir and that's it. Eat up...delish!

If its real stewing meat you do not want to cook it fast or without liquid. It will be tough and dry. Beef bourguignon, chili, beef curry, goulash would all work. Stir fry and kabobs would be disappointing.

This is one of my familly's favorite meals. I throw it all in the crock pot in the morning & cook on low all day. I also add a jar of sliced mushrooms.

sounds yummy - all i need to buy is the burgundy - i was looking for a new crockpot recipe

put in crock pot with one can of cream of chicken soup and one can of cream of celery soup. cook all day on low. serve over egg noodles. so easy and very yummy for such a fast dish (nothing gourmet, but it is good and a great choice when you need a quick meal ready when you get home...i also love that it only takes about 30 seconds to get ready in the morning!). you can use the healthy request cream soups if you want it a little healthier.

Beef Pie with a Bisquick Top

Put cubed beef, diced potatoes, mini carrots, a can of peas and 2 jars of beef gravy in a 9 x 13 dish. Bake until bubbly and meat is done. Make rolled biscuit recipe from the Bisquick box. Roll out dough and cut into 1" strips and lay it across beef mixture. Pop it back into the oven until the biscuit topping browns.

My mom made this all the time when I was young. It's even better the 2nd day!

I use them for "cheese steaks" of sorts- saute the chunks- put on garlic bread top with Cheese- broil for a minute- mmmm.

This sounds wonderful, I have to add it to my recipe book:goodvibes

We just put stew meat in a crock pot with a little water... cook on high until it falls apart. Eat on toasted bread or hamburger buns with your choice of toppings..... (BBQ Sauce, Ketchup, Mustard, Pickles, etc.)
