What can we expect.....

We are going on our first trip as DVC owners this August!

We are staying at SSR in a 1 BR. What can we expect to have in the room? Dishes, toiletries, towels, etc? There will be 4 of us.

We are also going on a Grand Gathering in Feb next year. We will have a 2 BR and 1 studio with 8 people. We are staying at AKV Kidani. What can we expect there. What extra should we bring? Shampoo? Coffee? Extra Towels? Laundry soap?

There's enough real dishes for everyone and a dishwasher to clean them.

Toiletries (shampoo) are mostly small travel sizes, you probably will not have enough.

You will need to bring your own coffee and filters (10-12 cup round Mr. Coffee size) for all SSR rooms (they only provide one single service)

There are as many towel sets as room occupancy, the 1BR and 2BR have their own laundry room, so if you bring detergent, you can wash them when you go to the parks or just hang them up if you do not use a new towel everyday at home (DVC does provide towel service every 4 days)

Trash & Towel service is Day 4 of your stay (counting check-in day as Day 1); all towels will be replaced, trash removed and liners replaced and paper products,soap,shampoo & coffee items(if needed) will be replaced as well. You can order extra towel packs at $6 per if you think you'll need extra (iirc towel pack includes 4 bath,2 face,2 wash cloth & 1 bath mat).

Thanks for the link and the info. Quick responses! I love the Disboards!

I am putting together a package for the 6 others going with us in Feb. Now I know to add in some laundry detergent, shampoo, etc.

Trash & Towel service is Day 4 of your stay (counting check-in day as Day 1);...

Unless you are staying for eight nights or more. Then you get a full cleaning on day 4 and trash and towel on day 8.

One bedroom and studio get four bath towels, two hand towels, four face cloths.

Two bedroom gets eight bath towels, four hand towels, eight face cloths. Unless you have sleeping spaces for nine, then add one more of each.
