What can I do with Dulce de Leche?

I was doing some Christmas baking this afternoon and it called for sweetened condensed milk. That's what I thought I'd bought. It turns out that Eagle Brand also sells Dulce de Leche in the same can and same size (albeit with big letters on it that says what it is) and I bought the wrong thing. Well, I went back to the store and got the right thing, but now I have this can of Dulce de Leche (am I even spelling it right?) that I opened sitting in my fridge. What do I do with it?

I know I can put it on ice cream, but I just can't eat that much ice cream this time of year. Can you put it in coffee? What else can I do with it? Suggestions are welcome.

How long will it keep in the fridge (in another container, not the can)? Like a month or just a week or two?

You can spread it on crepes, like Nutella.

There are cookies called Alfajores (am I spelling that right) that use it as a filling.

You can make a Tres Leches cake into Cuatro Leches cupcakes (spelling?), by filling them with it!

I think I saw a Food Network show where they used it as a filling for a rolled sponge cake.

Oh, fill donut holes! Or use it in fudge......

Try this amazing fudge recipe. It can be made with any flavor of sweetened condensed milk; I love the dulce de leche one:
Warm one can of Eagle Brand in a medium sauce pan
Add 2 cups chocolate chips (whichever type you prefer)
Stir until chips melt
Add 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 tsp. butter and a dash of salt
Stir until smooth and turn out onto a greased plate to set

Does it make a type of chocolate chip brittle?

No - it's fudge. If you like fudge, you will LOVE this. Takes about 3 minutes to make and no candy thermometer needed. Just warm the dulce de leche enough to melt the chips (don't boil it) and stir in the butter, vanilla and salt. Cool on a plate until set and cut into squares.
