I know you are not my entertainment committee but I am done with school :cool1:( I have been in school since I graduated high school) and now I am going to go out of my mind with all the extra time I am going to have....

There is only so many times I can read the DIS boards, clean house, and study for my state test...

I would like to find some good online games (preferably cheap or free), I have the Sims3 and I am bored with that already, I am not a book reader but would like to get into it, so if you can suggest some easy to read interesting books.... Please give some things for me to do....

TIA:dance3::yay::woohoo::banana::cool1:

You could come clean my house;)
I have an almost 11 year old who likes to travel, she is very well mannered, extremely bright and VERY Inquisitive (she will question your ears off) but she can cook and she sleeps thru the night!

How about a new hobby - sewing, painting, knitting, crocheting, pottery etc...my SIL makes the most magnificient quilts, she amazes me. I want to learn to make mosaics and to spin pottery.......

Start a garden, foster kittens from the Humane Society, volunteer to read to kids or the elderly at a facility..........tutor somewhere, volunteer with The Big Sister organization or something else that needs peoples time. Deliver meals to homebound people thru Meals on Wheels..........

Jump on the bandwagon and read all of the Harry Potter books.

I just started and I'm waiting to borrow #3 from a friend who insisted I start them.

WOW thanks for all the ideas... see when I sit here and think I don't think of these great things I could do... that is where my friends on the DIS come in... Thanks

I was in the same boat when I finished my masters. Read for pleasure. I started with Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic series (first book, Confessions of a Shopaholic). It's light and funny and was the perfect way to relax after finishing classes.

Congrats on being done with school! :thumbsup2

First of all, congrats on finishing school! Nice job..:thumbsup2

Are you interested in Amish fiction at all? If so, there are a number of "series" written by Beverly Lewis that could keep you busy for quite some time - depending on how fast you read.. :)

Lots of free games on the internet - just Google "free games"..

Interested in scrapbooking? That's always fun - and takes care of all those photos laying around the house.. :)

Lots of volunteer opportunities out there.. Find one that suits you - and that would make you feel good about yourself.. They can actually be fun! :goodvibes

You said you wanted some easy reader books? I think that Nicholas Sparks and Mitch Albom are authors of easy readers.
Other sugestions take up a hobby even if it's something you don't think you'd like: Baking, Cooking, Taking Pictures (you don't have to have an expensive camera go buy a single use camera) and get them developed or post online something like that. Or watch a movie you have never seen before like an old movie unless you aren't into that.
I'm constantly finding things to do too because I don't have a job and I'm not in school.

Get a Wii, PS3, or XBOX360. Huge time suck there. I have a Wii and I am playing Zelda again. I need a new game.

Start cooking. Make some new things. I have been attempting to do that as I am completely bored with food.

Congratulations!
What is your degree in? Are there any volunteer or internships that match your degree?.
