What can I do, as a CM, to improve your experience?

My girls loved it when they were greeted with, "Good morning, Princess!"

Be yourself, you seem to have the right idea of what Disney is all about.

OP...Congrats and I also agree that you are in the right mindset to make guests happy by just asking "How do I?"!! :thumbsup2 We love it when the CMs greet our DD with a "hello, princess" or comment on what they are wearing or just strike up a conversation. To us, just being in Disney is a magical (and usually very emotional) experience for us....we just LIVE the magic 24-7 while we are there! It is the one place that we expect nothing special because EVERYTHING is special! We have the best time hanging out as a family and just feeling the happiness that surrounds us! That's not to say that our vacations have had a few "bumps" now and then, but we always appreciate the CMs and what they do every day for US to make sure every minute of our stay with Mickey is the very best it can be! Good Luck!! :goodvibes

Congrats on becoming a CM and I hope everything goes well when you get your performance audition! All that was needed to make our day during past trips was a sincere smile or a brief moment to make us feel like we were the focus of attention/interest. My sister liked to wave when we walked through even if we didn't talk to that CM. Try to remember the guests who smile back and interact with you if others are giving you a hard time. It'll likely make the job more worthwhile on those few days when things get tough. Overall enjoy yourself and those around you will enjoy the day, too.

Congrats to you! I was a CP in merchandising in the Magic Kingdom and it was one of the best experiences of my life. You just need to remember that every single person you meet is there to have a magical time. Try your best to remember that and do your part to make it happen. I spent hours upon hours smiling, laughing with guests, helping them pick the perfect gift but most importantly...helping them make memories and get their slice of the magic. You will have a great time and learn so much. I hope you come back with some fabulous stories. Take the time to be a VoluntEAR at GKTW even if you only have time every once in awhile. I can't wait to hear all about your experience!

My daughter is in her second semester as a CP and loves it. It helps me that we are less than three hour away and visit once a month or so. We have season passes for the parks but it sure is nice to see my kid when there. She loves it so much she is hoping to be hired on when her term ends in January!
Pointers, remember the visitors have spent a lot of time planning their vacation and a lot of money to make this possibly the last vacation they will have, make it a good memory!

I think you should have fun. When the CM's have fun, it shows. Enjoy every minute you can. I know there's going to be crummy moments, crummy people.....but YOU ARE A DISNEY CM! How cool is that!! Have a Blast!!
Maybe we'll cross paths in the MK one day! Good for you!
