What can I change regarding a package?

If I book a package can I change the type of tickets I want (hopper, WP&More) later on? Can I add DME or Memory Maker? Can I delete Memory Maker or one day of tickets? Basically what can I change once it's booked? I know it's difficult to change dates/hotels but other than that are there issues with changing anything else? Any deadlines to be aware of for making changes or can I change right up until the final payment date?

The tickets depend on the package. The Free Dining packages required a Park Hopper ticket. You can add more days later and you can add WP& More later (as long as you still have at least one day left on your ticket). I am waiting until we get to WDW to decide on whether to add the water parks to my package (I have free dining/PH package). That way I can see how the weather is first.

You can add DME or Memory Maker after you've booked your package. I've scheduled DME but didn't when I booked package since I didn't have plane tickets yet--I added DME when I got my tickets. I plan to get MM but haven't added it yet--I'll do it closer to our trip date. Not sure about removing ticket days from packages, but you probably can as long as you still meet the requirements for your specific package.

I don't think there are deadlines on changing tickets/MM/MDE other than you have to have at least one day remaining on your ticket to add on days or WP, etc.

If I decide to add the meal plan can I do it myself on the website? If so, can someone point me in the right direction? I was looking to price it but didn't see where I could add it.

You can make modifications to your vacation package up to the final payment date without any penalty. Once you are past your final payment date (45 days before arrival for 2015 packages, 30 days before arrival for 2016 packages), you can still make changes, but there may be a $50 change fee assessed. The fee is usually charged if your new total is less, waived if the cost of the package increases and any added cost will be due immediately. If you make any changes within 2 weeks of arrival date there is an additional $15 paperwork fee that will be assessed.
