What building/studio to request at Polynesian Villas with a preschooler and toddler?

Hi! I am sooooooo excited we just rented DVC points for a standard studio villa at the Polynesian for 4 nights in October 2021 🎃 👻🌴🌺🌴 Thinking of going to Anna Maria Island after that. Such fun to plan what life will be like in a post-vaccine world!!

What room would you request if you had a double stroller and kids who go to sleep at 7:30? A nice view at night would be great while hubby and I have an after-bedtime drink, but are first floor patio spaces better? What’s more romantic? And what’s more practical with a 5 yr old and 18 month old?

My main hope is that we are not facing a parking lot 🤞🏻

Standard won't have the best view. Studios aren't really considered romantic unless there are just the two of you. You might be facing a parking area.

Tokelau would give you a better chance of not seeing the parking lot from your room. First floor rooms have patios. Second and 3rd floor rooms have balconies. Patios feel less private. Balconies feel a little more boxed in. It all comes down to preference. If you request a room on the north side of Tokelau (2913 2914 3913 3914 2915 2916 3915 3916) you might get a sideways view of the lake and the MK. But be forewarned that everyone requests those rooms when they have a standard view booked.

Not Polynesian related but we went to Anna Maria Island. Stayed a week in a VRBO. It was so fun there! Saw manatees right next to shore mating!

Poly is great with young kids 3rd floor Tokelau is the best balcony space for std view. We love it there! If you are concerned about taking an elevator with the double stroller pick first floor same building, but 3rd floor will have a better view. And the elevator is easy

Thank you!! I vaguely remember those elevators from years ago before I had kids. Are they wide enough for a double stroller?

Yes we had a double stroller in Tokelau up to the third floor. It fits in the elevator.

I always struggle more fitting it in the room (not just at Poly but everywhere)

Easier to obtain your request.

This!

Everyone asks for Tokelau. Especially the roughly 6 units that are especially choice. Tokelau is about a third of the SV units total.

Far fewer request Moorea SV so you usually get that.

The risk of being one of the millions not assigned Tokelau is that you end up in Pago Pago.

Moorea is nicely between the quiet pool and TTC. All SV is garden view in Moorea.
