What booths are don't misses for F&W?

All of them..lol..sorry....the F & W festival is the neatest thing around if you love trying new foods!

My favorite is "Ireland"'s booth. They make a whiskey custard that is to die for! I just wish the cups were a little bigger lol.

Also, the American booth at the very end (or beginning depending on which route you take) sells an unbelievable coconut wine. It's called Coco Polada. We drank it every night and brought back two bottles with us. Yummy!!

We'll be there Oct 31- Nov 8th and can't wait to eat our way around the world.

Some of our favorites from last years Festival are:

Watermelon Water Mexico
Fisherman's Stew Florida
Stuffed Cabbage Roll Poland
Smoked Pork Ribs Octoberfest
Frog Leg Chowder France
Beef Stroganoff Russia
Gazpacho with Olive Bread Spain

Foods are not always the same every year. Can't wait to see what we'll be eating this year.

At the Italy booth I LOVED the baked ziti carbonara. I still rave about it and cannot wait to get back this year. I so hope they have it again. It was a good size portion too

GREAT idea for a thread!!!
What are the portion sizes like? Can one make a meal of them?

Ooh yes, the pasta carbonara at Italy was great. And of course you have to have some cheddar cheese soup from Canada. I also liked their maple fudge and ice wine.

I had a glass of red champagne from this booth that was on the main walkway between Future World and World Showcase that was really good.

As an addition to my previous post, I have found several new venues that will be part of the F&WF this year.

Backyard Barbeque
Piemonte Chocolate Cafe
India
New England USA
Peru

Although there are no food items listed for any of the countries as yet, looks like I had better start starving myself sooner than planned.

Great thread! :) We are heading over for the F&W festival in November and I am trying to plan our eating drinking around the world.:p

How large are the portions? Are the a couple of bites, appetizer size, larger?

Most of the food portions are a couple of bites to a small appetizer portion in size. The beverages are typically in the 2-4oz range.

This post is making me so excited for the F&WF!! It's absolutely my favorite time of year at Disney.

Hmm...some of my favorite stops are:
Maple glazed salmon in Canada
Seared tuna in Japan
Spanikopita in Greece
Ribs in Germany
The beer tent

I can't wait!

One other thing to remember is that the PRICES for many of the wines (especially the Ice Wine!!!) are VERY very low. I don't know why, and I didn't expect the word "bargain" and "Epcot" to ever be used in the same sentence, but folks, its a great place to stock up on your favorite beverages and have them shipped back home. Make sure your state allows beverages to be shipped back home first of course.

You must try that Ice Wine from Canada. You'll be singing "Oh Canada" after the first taste!

How much do things cost at F&W? ie: small appetizers to a couple of bites=how much $$. This is our 1st trip to WDW and had never heard of F&W. Thanks!
Susan

I know my husband is going to LOVE this. Has there been a fair amount of vegetarian dishes available in the past?

Tinkerbell13- the going rates seem to about $2.50 -$4.00 for the food samplings.

I forgot about the Ice Wine! It's been 5 years since we went to our last F&W festival. I am really excited. They use to have a chicken and peanut satay infront of China I think that was awesome.

The cheddar cheese soup is to die for!! and also the maple fudge and the ice wine, well I liked it but it was a bit pricey for me.
There was also a flourless chocolate cake that was great too but forgot where I devoured that at. And France had a creme burlee..............can you tell I have a sweet tooth?

Wow, this is my first F&W fest and I'm so excited :hyper: . I never knew there were so many yummy things to try. I can't wait for October!!!!
