What book for the plane ?

Anyone have any book recomendations For our up coming trip to Orlando. I will probably read a Carl Hiaasen story, because there all set in Florida and usually mention a vist to WDW and lots of tourist locations around Florida.Very funny crime stories.
Yes it is difficult to find time to finish it while there, but usually finish on flight back.

Not yet. I only discovered him on our last trip when I read Skinny Dip. I have looked at his others in the book shop but was'nt sure which one I should read next. Spoilt for choice.

What about "A Brits Guide to Orlando 2008"

Even though we have been 7 times DH always tries to read it on the plane to get himself more excited about the trip if that is possible bless him.

I think I know it word for word and same goes for the unofficial guide. I think I have every guide book going. I love the Complete Walt Disney World book from coconut press. I have signed edition from the authors, great pics and lots of info. Also gots lots of maps which I love to study, which amuses my family. I still get lost thou.

I have just finished the new marion keyes which was great it is chick lit though also would recommend the island by victoria hyslop either way get your book before you go as they are always more expensive at the airport

Have you tried any Janet Evanovich novels - the Stephanie Plum ones are really funny crime stories along the lines of Carl Hiassen. They are set in New Jersey rather than Florida though.

I'm a quick reader, so I always take something like Lord of the Rings. Puzzle books are a good thing to take too

For a serious suggestion Fozzie, The Island by Victoria Hislop is a very good read - I borrowed it off MIL last August to read on the plane but it was that good I'd actually finished it before we left Heathrow

On recent flights, I enjoyed 'How To Talk To A Widower' and 'Everything Changes' by Jonathan Tropper. Sad, funny and great to read - I wish he had a new one out for my next trip...
