what bars have you enjoyed sitting at and having a drink?

Y'know...I've been thinking...ANY bar/lounge on WDW property is a good place to stop and have a drink! Why be picky? Give 'em all a try!

I was thinking the same thing! :)

I love Jellyrolls & the River Roost for the entertainment.

I have enjoyed queit drinks at the the Bellvue Lounge, Territory lounge and the Crews Cup. One day we'll venture over to the monorail resorts and check out their lounges.

I loved the bar at POFQ-Scat Cat's Club. While sipping a beverage, I can listen to Elliot Dyson and his live jazz. When DH is with me, we enjoy Gurgling Suitcase at OKW. It's so quaint.

When does he play? We are going down without the kiddies in June and would love to have a relaxing evening listening to Jazz.

Tune In Lounge was fun - talked to ppl on both sides
Dawa Bar is fun to grab a drink and go see the TamTams and acrobats

what/where else?

Where are these bars and what are the TamTams? What happens at the Tune in Lounge?

Tune In Lounge is the bar attached to Prime Time. Ive sat at the bar having a drink talking w/the ppl on both sides of me. Everyone is friendly at WDW!

Tam Tams are the entertainers playing in Africa. Dawa bar is the bar right next to where they play.

Last time I knew, he was there Wednesday thru Sunday. I think the times were 8:00-12:00 midnite.

We also love the ESPN club for Pats and Red sox game. We will be there next week to watch Boston College playpopcorn::

Hello fellow New Englander! :wave2: ESPN is a great bar to watch the games. DBF and I always make it a point to go there...especially if the Pats are playing! Go Pats!! Go Sox!!

Wow, this is a great thread! I agree with everyone about the Tune-In Lounge, DH & I went there for the first time our last visit and had a blast. Thank goodness for Disney transportation!;) And glad to hear Victoria Falls in there since that will be our home in 12 days from today! We will also have to check out the Dawa Bar & Tambu Lounge!

Thanks for the great info!!:thumbsup2

I agree, Raglan Road, ESPN, Rose & Crown, the Tune-In Lounge and the Dawa Bar (see my avatar) are some of our favorites. We've also gone to the Rainforest Cafe (both), Wolfgang Puck's, HOB, and (surprisingly) Fulton's Crab House - their bar is really nice. I think you can sit outside on the boat, too, and people watch. Always fun.

I could go on and on...

Pam

My dh and I don't drink but we do go to the lounge at POR for appetizers because they have the best piano player around. I can't remember his name but he is so much fun. The lounge fills up fast because he has been there for years and people like us go to hear him every time we are there. We are looking forward to seeing him in about 46 days.

Just discovered another bar to sit at, with a full menu, no less. It's the bar at the new Yak & Yeti in AK. Not much going on there, it's true, but it's comfortable (best bar chairs in the world!), and you can get a bite to eat without reservations if it's not crowded. Cool decor, too.

Oh, and forgot to mention another all-time favorite of mine...House of Blues at DTD. Fun atmosphere, almost always a place to sit and eat (try the VooDoo Shrimp...to die for!), great servers at the bar inside. Outside, you can sit at the little tables and listen to music while having a cocktail.

LOVED Regland Road....went there twice with BF. We also really like House of Blues in DTD (agree with above poster). We never went to any of the hotel bars (didn't have time) but are hoping to do that next time!

Don't get too comfy in those bar chairs! Last time I ate at the bar at Yak and Yeti (12/4) Sara informed me that the chairs were going to be replaced the next day. She was really disappointed because she agreed that they were the most comfortable bar chairs they were getting rid of! BTW, eating at the bar is fun at Yak and Yeti, but when I was there, the atmosphere is so nice that I found I kept trying to crane my neck around to see everything.

We also enjoyed hanging out at House of Blues. We stopped there before the Cirque du Soleil show LaNouba, not a good idea then though because I had to use the bathroom twice during the performance! I apologized profusely to the people I was disrupting as I was leaving our row.

Another vote for Raglan Road too, DH & I really liked the atmosphere there, and no Pleasure Island charge!

And I will also have to put in a vote for Victoria Falls at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, it's located above the Boma restaurant so you can sit and people watch or sit at the bar and chat with the excellent bar staff!:thumbsup2

Then I got lucky, because the chairs were there on the 11th...maybe they decided to keep them, after all. Or maybe the new ones were delayed...

This past trip, I added a couple of new (to me) spots to relax and have a drink: the Belleview Room at the BW and the BW pool bar....And we also did the monorail drink-a-thon so we sat and had drinks at the 3 lounges there.

My favorite bar at WDW used to be the Cat Walk Bar at MGM. It closed a long time ago, but I still miss it. Now another vote for Dawa and Martha's Vineyard.

You got it sister!! What a fun time we had! :thumbsup2 Next fall I am dragging you kicking and screaming to the Gurgling Suitcase. ;)

I do have to say my favorite bar on property is the Suitcase. Second fave is the Dawa bar, but with the new Tusker house setup, it has lost some of it's magic with people standing around waiting on a table. Also love Jellyrolls, House of Blues, OuterRim, Tambu, Mitnzer's or however you spell it, Victoria Falls, Raglan Road, the margarita shack at the Marketplace, Turf Club, and oh, how could I forget the pool bar at GF. I just love that view. :)

Oh, don't worry friend, I'll go willingly!:rotfl:
