I recently saw Hootie and the Blowfish on Letterman...and am now listening to Blues Traveler on an old SNL...

Solid lyrics delivered by strong vocals....I never bought anything by either band, but I did like them...I missed them. Bit mainstream, but solid delivery.

I also miss Madness and The Alarm back from the 80's....

What band are wondering what happened to?

I don't have any favorites. I'm rather music "impaired"

Can't think of any off the top of my head, but wanted to thank you for getting "The Hook" stuck in my head now. :rotfl:

I miss the Smiths.

Madness are still around. They still tour over here - don't know if they release any new stuff now though.

Bread, but that is because I am old.

Pink Floyd and INXS. Journey with the RIGHT lead singer.

I could go on but that's enough. :)

New Kids on the Block - HAAAA! Just kidding! Here are some I miss:

Candlebox
Offspring
Soundgarden
Garbage
Hootie & The Blowfish
Metallica - talking the Black album stuff

There are a lot more I'd love to see come back!

I miss the original line up of Guns and Roses.

Warrant

Skid Row

This old lady misses all the great Motown bands from the 60's. Yep, I really do! But I can still get down to them when doing the dishes.....got an awesome sound system with speakers in the kitchen that *literally* rock the house!

I met the Alarm back in the day. Had no idea who they were at the time. they were with a friend of mine so we just started chatting they were a lot of fun!

I still have their autographs around here somewhere...

I miss Journey too. and the Police.

Bad Company

The Band

Queen... Skid Row (a reunion would be AWESOME, but unlikely)...I'm so happy to have Motley Crue back (even if they are a bunch of old farts!!). :music:

I miss my all time fave Sublime (yes, I'm getting old). They'll never be the same without Bradley :sad2:

Well, Hootie & the Blowfish just released a new album called Looking for Lucky, so they're still around. They just don't get much airtime anymore....

I wish hearing them on the air, too. I grew up listening to them at street fairs in Columbia, SC, where they're from :teeth: Also going to "all ages" shows at the local clubs as I was too young to get in most nights. I was at the show on Halloween 1993 when they announced they'd signed their first record deal the day before. And I have Cracked Rear View signed by all 4 on the day it was released. :) They have YET to record my favorite song of theirs called "Sorry's Not Enough". Well, it's on their demo tape and indy cd (have both...but the tape melted in half in the lovely SC summer heat!) but they haven't recorded it since they got signed, so it's never been released.

Skid Row & Guns N Roses

What can I say, I have a thing for metal hair bands.
