There is a thread like this on the US boards but I find alot of the bags I can't get in the UK......

I took a little messenger type bag to DLRP which was the perfect size (think loaf of bread) but because it goes acros my body I got a sunny shoulder ache after the first two days....

I'm tempted to get this:

as it's super cute, a good size and has little ciute safari animals all over, so fits my AKL theme....

But the pockets aren't great.

Any good suggestions?

I took a back pack on the last trip but it really got on my nerves by the end of the first week - plus I figured out I didnt need to carry so much junk around with me!:rotfl: so I swapped for my cross body bag

Its really annoying trying to fit big bags into the front pockets of the rollercoasters and I get really nervous about leaving them just by my feet.

Also make sure you get a bag that Jack can carry when you get sick of it!:rotfl:

try not to take a bag into the park
get shorts with lots of pocket

only need room card for charging and pocket for carema

See, due to my wonderful digestive system that has been brutally ruined by Morroco I need to carry quite a lot of medication....

Also, Jack will happily drag my pink suitcase and wear my pink Jansport backpack, so think he'll be fine, lol. He's a good boy!

Always use a Camelbak. Filled with 2 litres of iced water. poncho's in storage area. Also keeps your back cool for the first few hours :lmao:

DH takes his small utility bag we found in Peacocks for £7 in a lovely brown and orange combination colour scheme so the dirt doesn't show as much;) It holds the camera, camcorder, batteries and memory cards with ease and does not get filled with rubbish :thumbsup2There are lots of places to add carabiners (sp?) to hold more things outside the bag. There are a couple of internal pockets and one external one.

I took my small Eeyore Disney across the body bag (bought in the Argos sale last year) which was great for things like ziplock bags, mobile phone, ADR numbers, lip balm, sun block, tissues, comb, anti-bacterial hand gel and medicines and gum as well as our tickets, you know the usual Mum stuff;) There is a pocket on the outside flap and on inside the bag at the back.

We gave up on a backpack years ago.

I'm going to try to keep our bags as light as possible this year and we may miss out some of the fireworks recordings since we've seen them so often. Our camera and camcorder are both small and don't weigh that much thank goodness.... we're going to have to do a dummy run nearer the time to see what we can do without. Yes I know we could "in theory" leave the camera and make use of the Photopass Service but TBH we often get better photos from our own camera. I'm thinking about getting a lanyard with a clear pocket on to hold our KTTW cards and change instead of carrying them in my bag and just putting other stuff in pockets it will make entry into the parks a little easier.
Lots of other people like the Baggallini range and I can see the appeal there's lots of choice, it's up to you and what you feel comfortable carrying.

i take a bagillini bag which alot of the girls in the us take, i got it from the states and it carries everything i need

Hi Torsie

we bought a animal bag they had a huge sale on and i didnt buy any thing too girly so we shared taking in turns to carry it lol just big enough for a small jacket each and wallets keys etc

Hope you find something you like

With two young girls I bought a Cath Kidston backpack in oilcloth for our last trip. It was great, not too big and the best thing about it was that it was waterproof for all those florida showers. Hung on the back of the stroller and kept changes of clothes, camers etc dry when there was a sudden downpour. I'd highly recommend for those with young children.

I'm still in the "old-fashioned"mode and take a fanny pack - its a tinkerbell one that i bought at CSR about 4 years ago. The kids are very embarassed about it but it does the job:rotfl2:

If only it weren't a trip that tehre will be hundreds of photos of me from then I would 100% bum bag it.

Jack was the bum bag in in DLRP but now when he looks at the photos he refuses to wear it again!

I usually take a small Kangol backpack that I bought years ago. Holds everything I need :thumbsup2

If I want a change it's the trusty Eeyore backpack every time! I only wear that one when I go to Disney. Think I can only get away with it there! :lmao:

I've taken my Kipling Candy one the last few Disney trips and it's been great: Small but fits loads in (I swear it's like the tardis!!) and can either be a shoulder bag or backpack which is great to stop the achy shoulders thing. The only minor niggle I have is that i'd rather have one compartment than 2 so may try and find something else this year, maybe a Bagallini :)
My bf has a small Eastpark shoulder bag (a manbag, hehe!) He carries the DSLR and doesn't want it round his neck all the time. We find the 2 smaller bags work better for us, if we carried a backpack we'd almost certainly pack way too much!

I bought a lovely small across body bag from the flea market in Kissimmee last year. It has a lot of room in 2 separate compartments with zipped pockets and it also has a net section on the front ideal for carrying a cold drink. They are not at all intrusive on rides etc. They do them in many different colours but mine is black with white spots. Very funky and extremely good value and useful!!!!

Its b*mbags for us all the way.. we've got one each, enough room for bits and pieces and a small bottle of suntan lotion.

Due to a bad shoulder for everyday use I wear an across the body bag, but I dont want to get stap marks!!

And the b*mbag means hands free too.

I'm using my lowepro camera backpack this summer, it has a section at the bottom for my DSLR camera and a spare lens, plus room for spare battery, point and shoot camera for DH etc. Then in the top park we will have our light waterproof jackets (we are going in August so we expect rain every afternoon!), plus I can put the suntan lotion, sun glasses cases etc in there too. Then we can store our sun hats in there when we go on the rides. It sounds a lot but the bag really isn't that big. Plus the bag has a waterproof part that you can pull out and cover the bag with, useful for water rides and those afternoon downpours.

We have a Karrimor 25 litre day sac and take turns in carrying, we get all our frozen capri suns in with snacks and butties (yes we are butty people :goodvibes) camera, along with poncho's etc. As an avid hill walker i cant help being over prepared.
