What bag do Dis Guys carry into the park?

We will be traveling w/ kids 7,5,& 11mo so DH will still have the messenger style daddy diaper bag going on. (In black of course) :woohoo:

I know a few guys who swear by Maxpedition bags. There are many styles to choose from.... backpacks, waistpacks and cross body type slings. They are definately not girlie bags!

I have an Army Surplus bag that was converted to a camera bag. It fits three lens, a camera body, cell phone keys wallet and a few other things. Since it has a long strap it will go across my body. And that is what my hubs will carry since it's more manly. You can find them on Ebay for cheap or pay big bucks for a not so authentic one.

Both my DH and I carry Molle Shoulder Tactical Bags. They can also convert to a waist pack. We use them hiking and running cross country and it's perfect for Disney. It is very versatile, durable, roomy but light... and it doesn't look like a purse, plus they were very inexpensive. Allow about 2 weeks for delivery.. they come from a store in Australia. We ordered them off EBay... here is the link

My DH has several Molle packs that are used for different purposes...and they last forever. I love mine and use it all the time.

I use something like this:

It's like a cross between a backpack and messenger bag. It's got one strap like a messenger bag, but it hangs on your back and not on the side. It's more comfortable than wearing a messenger bag and it keeps out of the way on your back.

For rides, it swings easily from front to back to hold in front of you. That also makes it easier to access than a backpack as you don't have to actuall take it off.

I thought I'd bring this back to the top! I'm still trying to figure out what to get my husband. He's going to have to carry the pull-ups, wipes and autograph books!

I just bought a black Bagalleni for our trip. I got black so DH can carry it too. We will have an extra outfit in there for DS4 just in case along with the other goods we need.

hey why carry a bag when you have a DW to do all that for you......please make sure though that if you do carry a bag it has to be totally manly so no pastel colours and if at all possible try to have some kind of army patches on it....remember....the ladies were meant to carry the bags...there shoulders are more made for it...

If you have one near you you might pop into the Container Store. I got my back there back in 2007 and love it. It is one you can throw over one shoulder or across your body. It's not too big, just perfect. Especially now that I have told the 14 year old she is on her own for carrying things into the park!!!

My DH loves wearing his fannypack in the parks. He would never wear it anywhere else but in Disney its all good.

:lmao:

See, in my world, the HUBBY is for carrying bags! Just like he's for washing dishes and doing the laundry! :rotfl2:

my dad has used the same L.L. Bean backpack for our past 4 trips. It really isn't that bulky and we've never had a problem with it on rides or anything.

:rotfl2:to be honest i was only being brave while my DW wasnt looking

I'll have to watch my hubby more closely...I don't want him exhibiting the same kind of behavior! :lmao:

On-topic -- My hubby has approved the baggallini (in black) pic I showed him, so I guess I'll be going with that.

My sister-in-law highly recommended the Mountainsmith Tour so we've picked one up for our trip this spring. It is definitely something a guy can use, it is a lumbar pack, so not exactly a fanny pack but it does have a shoulder strap so it can be used that way too. You can find them on ebay or your local hiking shop probably has them. We got ours from ebags. It is a little expensive but will last forever.

What about a small camera case that will slide on your belt? Mine will hold my camera and has space for my debit card/ID. If I don't have the camera inside, it will hold a disposable poncho and tiny bottle of sunblock. I try to go bag-free. DH sometimes carries a fanny pack, but it's so hideous that I hope we can abandon it this year.

:rotfl2::laughing:I know he must be used to this by now!!

I have a messenger bag from a nearby museum but my recommendation is to get one that has a pocket for a water bottle. This one does and I love it.

Not a bag, but I make use of a photography/adventure/fishing/etc. vest. Plenty of easy to access storage. And it complements the commando look.
