I thought it might be fun to ask everyone about defunct attractions. There are so many wonderful ones that are "no longer with us." What attractions do you wish Disney would bring back? I hope someone from Disney reads this thread. Wishful thinking I know. Here are mine:
Diamond Horseshoe Review - This was such a fun show and so perfect for Frontierland. It was a nice little break to sit down and have a snack and watch a great show. I remember going to the show as a child. PLEASE BRING IT BACK!
Tiki Birds - I would give anything to have the original Tiki Birds back. The new one is a joke. The music isn't timeless. They shoudl not touch any of the attractions that Walt had a hand in.
River Country - Oh, I miss River Country. What a unique water park. I like it better than the concrete jungle type water parks. Again, it was a great fit for Fort Wilderness. Isn't Disney all about theming?
Imagination - I would love to get the original Imagination ride back. The new one...a big fat joke!!!
Super Star Theatre - Wasn't this fun? Every show was different and very entertaining. Seems like a waste of a building now.
Monster Sound Show - Again, this was a fun interactive show. Sounds Dangerous is another big fat joke!
If You Had Wings - Don't laugh at me, I know it's really really old. But I loved it. The song, the ride, the scenery...everything.
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride - Although I love Pooh, I miss Mr. Toad. Can't we have both????? Oh well, I got to ride it in Disneyland last year.
Residential Street - I miss Residential Street at MGM. I know the car stunt show is there and they needed the space, but I don't like it enough to warrant losing Residential street. I miss seeing the homes and I especially miss the Osborne Lights being there. I don't like it as much now that it's on the city streets. It's just not the same. Plus, without Residential Street the backstage tour is so short that it's ridiculous.
I'm sure there are more but that's all I can think of right now. Tell me yours!!!!
