You doing for the first time on your upcoming trip to WDW?We are doing Disney Quest at DTD for first time in December. Also we have never been to film at China in Epcot would like to do this trip. Also looking to buy DW a oyster at DTD,each one has a pearl in it and you can have set in ring or necklace.Anybody done this that could share info onit I would appreciate it.Thanks Danny :goodvibes :wizard: :wave2:

There are two things that I haven't been able to do yet. One, is DisneyQuest. Second, and this is very obvious because it isn't open yet, but Everest Expedition. Those will be on my next trips to-do list.

I hope to do Universe of Energy on my next trip. I'm also thinking of the film in China-DH goes to China on business so it might be good for me to see some of the country. After over 20 trips, lots left to do!

We're doing the Segway tour at Epcot for the first time. Also, looking forward to Soarin'. May even try to work up the nerve for Misson:Space.
The pearls are tremendous fun. I get mine at the Japanese pavillion at Epcot,
and can stand there 30 minutes watching other people open theirs. (Guess I'm easily entertained!) Look for a fat oyster to get a large pearl, tho the colors are completely unpredictable.

We have not seen Fantasmic yet. That is on the list for our next trip.
DD 10 picked an oyster in Japan. They make a real big deal about it. They size your pearl and tell you how many milimeters it is. I think hers was slightly bigger than normal maybe 7mm or so. If you get a rare color like black they ring a gong. Then they clean the pearl and show it around to all the people watching. You pick you setting. DD got a basket to hold the pearl (pendant). She purchased this with her souvie money (disney dollars). We also purchased her a silver chain to go with it. She had a blast doing it. I think the pearls were $14.95 plus tax. I think we spend around $18 for the pendant and $10 for the chain or so. Have fun. Right outside of where they do the pearls in Japan is where the candy lady performs. We caught the end of her act after getting the pearl.

Yes, I recommend getting a pearl in Japan instead of DTD. The experience is so much more authentic in Japan.

We are doing Soarin' and this will be dd's first time to do Splash, BTMR and Dinosaur!! I am so excited to see her reaction. She loves rides.

Getting off topic - We just got home from a local festival and I took her on a rocket-ship type ride called the Hurricane. Bad judgement on my part. She was fine, but I thought I was going to die. Wayyyy to much G-force for me. I was shaking when I got off and she wanted to go again! She's only 4! - End of off topic! Thanks for listening!

I am sure she will love Spash and BTMR, Dinosaur might scare her, but she's seen parts of it on the Disney specials on the Travel Channel so maybe she'll be fine.

We are doing Soarin, the China film, the Canada film, the Country Bears, and my wife is riding TOT. Can't wait for that picture.. :rotfl2:

On the first day of my December trip I will be arriving at Pop, dropping my luggage off even if I don't have a room yet and heading to MGM. I will probably do Tower of Terror or Rock n Rollercoaster first! Yay! :)
