What are your vacation splurges?

For me the cruise is the treat! This time I'll be having at least one Dole Whip with rum though.

Our vacation splurges are spending about 50+ days a year on holiday. We are young and work full time but we are still able to travel about 2-3 times a year for 2 weeks each and then take quite a few long weekends...we are very careful with our actual expenses because we vacation so often I am a travel agent and get a lot of great deals. We own an RV, motorcycles, a boat...THOSE are our vacation splurges

If I were going to splurge on a single vacation, I would upgrade our plane tickets to business or first class, especially on the way there. Nothing says "relax" like getting to the airport early and going in to a premium lounge, having a great (free) meal with champagne and avoiding all of the crazy travelers and their crying children...then sitting in a big comfortable seat on our way to our destination. Then, have a private car service for our airport transfers.

As a solo cruiser I usually splurge on my port adventures (especially scuba diving), drinks, meal at Palo/Remy and maybe even a massage. I've also splurged on special cruises like the Fantasy Maiden Voyage and the Pixar Cruise themed cruise. I would like to book a cabana at CC but because I'm alone I feel the cost is not worth it for one person.

When my family and I went on our first cruise last April we splurged on dinner at Palo for my husband and I and a photo package with all the prints and digital copies of our photos.

Definitely a cabana if we have a stop on CC during our cruise.......... we love our cabanas

Palo brunch and dinner, and a second brunch if at all possible.

Sometimes a Dooney purse if there's one that catches my eye.

The cruise itself is a splurge! Drinks while onboard--Captain's Mai Tais by the pool while watching Funnel Vision, and a bottle of wine at Palo. Valet parking at the Galveston port.

We require two cabins for our family of six. So yeah, just being there is our splurge this trip! A couple day passes for the Rainforest--not an expensive splurge at all. And possibly the Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom the night before we cruise. That will be our big splurge!

Bingo, although on our most recent trip we came out ahead. Ihad bingo two for a total of about $300, my 8 year old grandson won $640, and my oldest daughter won > $700.

Other splurge has been Dooney and Burke purse for my wife. I've manage to buy two on the last night and get them packed without my wife seeing them. The US customs office almost spoiled the surprise on one, since I had included on the declaration form. When he said something about a purse, she though he was talking about her current purse.

sports: golf, mini-golf, fishing, marathon, bowling, ESPN Club, WWS/ESPN Zone, etc
shopping: DTD, area outlet malls, large scale malls
drinking: Jellyrolls, Raglan Road, monorail tour of resorts, walking tour of resorts in the Boardwalk area
movies: DTD 24 screen theater some with meals served by waiters
night clubbing: Jellyrolls, Atlantic Dance, Raglan Road, Citywalk
resort tours: monorail tour of resorts, Boardwalk around the lake tour of resorts, horse drawn tour of FWC, AKL/AKV
offsite: Gaylord Palms Resort, Citywalk, swamp tour
eating: Formal GF 5* Chef's Table @ V&As

We splurge on staying at the Lego hotel for two days after the cruise. And a free for all at the Disney pin store before the cruise. And heck the whole cruise and trip to Orlando is a splurge!
