What are your thoughts on ...

Its a must do for us - and for DH is the only reason why he agrees to go to AK at all.

Does it make you dizzy?

No, but those kinds of rides don't bother me. The only rides that make me dizzy are ones that spin around really fast. FoP does make you feel like you're flying on the back of a "bird", and it dives, turns, twists and even "rolls" once. It's never violent feeling, just free flying.

Does it make you dizzy?

I'm sensitive to 3D and towards end of day when I'm already pretty spent/tired, I felt off balance after. When I rode it year prior and was more awake, it didn't bother me at all.

My sister, who has a tendency for motion sickness and does not like drops or fast coaster rides, rode it to see what it was like. I give her credit for trying everything at least once! She has gone on it again several times. What she said was she closes her eyes if she is not liking it because the motion of the chair does not affect her, just the visuals.

I suppose it depends on your trip and how much time you have for each park. Sometimes we have time constraints and without FP+ for it, that can eat up lots of time.

Last trip was four full park days and opted to completely skip AK. I think mostly because we knew we didn't want to be in AK and not do FoP. But of course we have done it before so we knew what we would be missing.

I hate Soarin', I love FoP. BUT, I will never wait in that SB line. FP+ or we will skip it. Nothing at Disney is worth hours in a line, not even FoP.

Does it make you dizzy?

No

I have vertigo, I often skip rides. Love FoP.

HINT: Move your head when you look around. Keeping your head still still and just moving your eyes could make you dizzy. The ride moves in sync with movie so allow yourself and your head to move, don't fight that.

It's pretty amazing - I wouldn't miss it. But it did cause motion sickness in two of my friends that don't normally get sick on rides

Personally I have not been on it and likely will never go on it and I don't think I'm missing out.
I have never watched Avatar and don't see the attraction to Pandora.
Same way that at Universal I couldn't care less about anything to do with Harry Potter.

I think that if you're into Avatar then its probably a must do.

If you have never done it, you have no idea if you'd like it or if you're missing out.

You don't have to like Avatar to enjoy a ride.

I don't feel you have to "be into Avatar" to enjoy the FOP ride. It can stand on its own without any tie in to Avatar.
I don't do ToT but I tried FOP and it was the best ride I have ever been on.

That makes no sense. I've never seen Avatar and have no real desire to, but the experience of FoP is really cool. You could put any name on it and I'd still find the attraction fun. It's not about the movie, it's about the experience. But if it works for you to ignore an entire area because you've never seen the movie, great.

I've never seen Avatar. Tried to watch it and cannot sit through it. Flight of Passage is my favorite ride at WDW now. It is exhilarating. Pandora is amazing and beautiful and immersive.

I would never write anything off because I had not seen a movie. I was a naysayer about Pandora until I walked in for the first time.

I'll never try to convince someone to love Harry Potter the way I do. I do think people are missing out who haven't gone in those lands. They are incredibly done.

Huh, you really aren't curious? I have never seen Avatar and probably never will at this point, but I'm certainly going to try FOP. People have raved and raved about it. Some even called it a spiritual experience. Who am I to question them? With a FP in hand what's to lose?

I'm not into Star Wars at all and won't wait hours to see the new land or new big attraction, but as a Disney and Theme Park enthusiast I still want to see them!

Don't get this POV at all. If a ride is amazing, who cares what the source material is. The two Harry Potter rides and FOP are some the best rides in the world regardless of the material it comes from.

This is me too! I don’t like Avatar, think I wat he’d maybe 5 min of it so it doesn’t interest me. My 17 yo also said the same thing “why would I want to wait in a line for a ride about a movie I don’t like.”

I don’t like shows in general so I avoid most of them in Disney as well. I am not bird crazy so I never saw the bird show in AK. Ok AK is my least favorite park so we are spending 1/2 day/morning there per our norm.

Gasp...I have never seen the China movie...is it still playing? Only saw O Canada with my dh, then boyfriend, but in all the previous years (when there was only 2 parks, then 3), never saw it then.

And I don’t like Harry Potter either so I wouldn’t waste my money there.

Luckily Disney is for everyone and you don’t have to do something that you don’t think you will like.
