Hmmm... interesting question.
As a Pantheist, I'm spiritually driven to be interested in all questions of reality and truth, as well as in the diversity of people (cultures, which includes their history, but only tangentially -- history only matters to me with regard to how it impact how people are today). Also, my beliefs drive me to be interested in the nature of the physical world, and that has spawned a minor interest in some outdoorsy subjects like hiking and adventure travel.
I also have interests driven by my political beliefs: I'm a staunch capitalist, and very interested in the sciences of economics, business management, and operations management -- so much so that I build my first career on those interests. Indeed, my interest in Disney didn't come from the side of things that most people's interest in Disney came from, but rather came from encountering Disney as examples in my readings on economics and management.
Somehow, I also managed to develop an interest in ancient architecture, and in the nature of taxonomies, such as lines of hereditary rulers.

Added: Full disclosure requires I fill in a detail, regarding my interests related to my religious beliefs. My wife deserves full credit for all of those, because she got me interested in Pantheism in the first place (though she didn't know it was an established belief system until I told her -- that goes back to my interest in taxonomies, including taxonomies of religions

).
