I'm only spending one day at MK next trip, so I want to have the best dining experience possible while I'm there. The plan right now is to do Liberty Tree Tavern. Is that one of the better MK resturants or should I try somewhere else? :Pinkbounc

I have eaten at LTT several times now. I have also eaten at CRT and at CP. LTT is a decent meal. It has the characters. I like the setting. But, the food is nothing to get excited about. Would I eat there again? Probably for lunch but not dinner. My favorite place to eat in MK? I love Crystal Palace. Yes, it's a buffet. But I have always had really good food there. In fact, it's the one spot my dh asks to eat at each time he goes!!
I have had very good food at CRT for dinner. But it is on the expensive side.
If you are looking for a nice setting, characters (no Mickey), and decent food, then LTT will fit the bill.

You didn't say if you were talking about lunch or dinner. We eat there a couple of times on every trip. We love lunch there. We will eat dinner there because the character meal is fun, but the food (at dinner) leaves alot to be desired.

We just recently ate there for dinner. The character meal was great fun for my 3 year old granddaughter and the characters were so wonderful with her here.

I enjoyed the food, it was very good but it was nothing special. Just your standard fare such as ham, turkey, masked potatoes, green beans etc and was served family style. I would definitely eat here again but probably only for lunch and not dinner.

We ate there in November and it was pretty good. We had the character dinner and the food was pretty much standard Thanksgiving fare. If you're looking for a really good meal, I would suggest taking the boat from the MK over to Wilderness Lodge and eat at the Whispering Canyon Cafe. It would definitely be worth your time!

We read all the reviews and were excited about our dinner at LTT. We wont go back anytime soon. The food was bland and the service was so slow! It took 3 times of asking to get us pop refills. For what it is I would spend the money or TS credit else where. Pluto was really cool but the other characters were very busy. We had better intereaction at 1900 park fare dinner with the characters. We skipped dessert because we had already been sitting there forever by the time we ate salad, main course and a couple of drinks. It had been an hour and a half. I can understand when I order what I want and how from a busy kitchen that it takes alot of time. But we are all eating the same food at every table! Maybe like DH says that I am harsh as I waitressed for a few years to put myself through college.

WE LOVED IT!!!! We will be returning in July for a sweet tea fix!!!!

LTT is one of our favorites. I love the dinner. The food isn't gourmet by any means but it's very good. Basic Thanksgiving type food which my family really likes :cool1: The characters are alot of fun and they all came by our table at least twice. I would eat there again.

We were just there for dinner last month; the food was wonderful, and we got multiple visits from the characters. My oldest granddaughter had a pen for autographs that had a pink fuzzy thing on the end, and every single character tickled her nose with it. We got great pictures.

That being said, we loved the food at Crystal Palace. The characters didn't make it around nearly as often, and that upset my 3-year-old granddaughter a little bit.

We really didn't care for the food there at all. I don't think we would ever go back.

My opinion is :faint: :scared:   . There was so much salt in my food that I couldn't eat it. And it is basically glorified frozen food. All food in the MK basically sucks (with the exception of dinner at Cindy's). My advice is get on the monorail and go to Konas at the Poly. Check out this thread with pictures -

We ate dinner there in September. The food was tasty but nothing overly special. The characters were fun - giving each table a lot of attention. Minnie, Chip and Dale seemed to take more time to pose for pictures with us - two adults, no children. Goofy didn't stay at the tables as long.

I would say the charater part of the meal was special, and the food was okay. Of course, we were there when the parks weren't so crowded, so the characters had time for extra attention. And we were able to take our time and not get rushed through our meal.

I'd eat a big breakfast at one of the resorts, and have CS or snacks in the MK. Lunch at a monorail resort restaurant is great, but it will take a chunk of time out of your one day in MK. :earsboy:

We really enjoyed LTT. We ate there before MNSSHP. Lots of fun. The only thing is I wish they didn't have cherry cobbler for dessert. I don't like cherries.

For 20+ years, during each visit to Walt Disney World, it's been a family tradition to dine at the Liberty Tree Tavern. My wife and I love their lunch and during the holiday season, we enjoy their dinner. :paw:

Really don't like the food here--bland, tan, not very good at all. At MK, we pretty much do counter service--Columbia Harbor House, Cosmic Rays, occasionally we'll hit The Plaza. If you want fun, characters and a better meal, I would recommend Crystal Palace.

Enjoy!

We ate at Liberty Tree tavern about a year or so ago last year for a character dinner and...I'm really sorry to say this, I'm glad that we all have different opinions and that others adore the place, but...we hated it. The food seemed really salty and as someone else said resembled "glorified frozen food". (Actally, I've been told that all the food there is from Stouffer's.) And the character interaction?...well, that was bizarre, to be charitable. Minnie Mouse gave us the one-finger salute, it was clear to see. My DH mis-spoke, saw a giant mouse coming to our table and called her Mickey...she actually *did* give us the one-finger saluet, it was hard to interpret as anything else. (For those of you who are having a hard time believing this, if I hadn't seen her do it with my own eyes, I wouldn't believe it either.)
So, anyway, we'll probably never go back.
Our favorite MK dining option is Crystal Palace, especially for dinner. Wow, the food is really good, *especially* for a buffet. At this point, the character interaction is a bonus, we just really like the food. We took some friends there this fall when we were all visiting and they said that it was some of the best food they had while at WDW.

agnes!

We enjoyed it when we ate there. We did the character dinner right before the MVMCP. Thought the food was pretty good, service was great, and character interaction was AWESOME!
