My girls, 10 and 8, are going to be square dancers. The outfits are so cute!
We bought them from a woman near our cabin who is a professional square dancer. They have these big crinolins (*sorry about the spelling!*) and the dresses are gingham prints. They want their hair braided in pig tails and 'freckles' on their cheeks.
We bought 3 dresses, 3 crinolins, and a belt for $10 at her annual Labor Day garage sale. One of oldest dd's friends may use the extra dress/crinolin.
Cheerleader (ya not really dressing up as she IS a cheerleader but at least that $175 uniform will get ONE more wearing!)
BUZZ lightyear (4 year old)
and Tigger (shes one and gets her brothers hand me downs!)
DS is going to be Darth Vader and DD was planning to be a Dead Skateboarder last I checked. We already have the makings for the first costume and DD is on her own for her costuming.
DD11 wanted to be a Pirate so bad, she loves the movie PoC and Johnny Depp. She thought I could sew her a costume and was constantly looking at patterns, she thinks I can sew a lot better than I can We did luck out and find a costume for a girl pirate, but it's more for a teen-ager/young lady so I will need to do something to make it for her age, it's kind of short. She also found a pirate outfit for Dash, but he doesn't seem interested, so he will probably only wear the bandana part of it.
Both of my DS's are going to be monsters of some sort. Both have masks and claws to go with their black robes. One has a skull axe and the other has a skull staff.
DS is going to be a fireman. We got his turnouts on-line and they are like the real deal. He is so fascinated with fire trucks. I can't wait to take him trick or treating.
