I have been wanting to get my DS9 a DSi Mario bundle. It comes with 5 pre-installed Mario games. It is the same price as the regular DSi, $170. Toys R Us had them on sale on Black Friday for $160. They opened @ midnight, but I got there at 6AM. Needless to say, they were long gone. I have called around to Gamestop, Target, and Walmart said they were available online, only. I went to walmart.com to find the DSi Mario bundle in not available (sold out).

So, I just go ahead and buy a regular DSi. After a few days, I start thinking, I really should try to get the bundle, even if it takes me until Christmas eve. Yesterday morning, I wake up at 6:45am, and something is telling me to get out to the stores. My DH is thinking I am crazy, but I grab the DSi from the closet and I return it to Toys R Us. I ask them if they have the Mario bundle in,a nd they don't. UGH. Still, I am glad I now have the money in my pocket in case I happen to come across one.

I am heading out of the parking lot, and to take a left would put me on the road home. To take a right, would put me in the mall parking lot, Target, specifically. I walk into Target, and what do I see???? ONE DSi Mario bundle!!! :cool1: I couldn't believe it. The guy working the electonics dept. couldn't even believe it, He said they were very hard to get, and was surprised that they got one in. But there it was, just sitting there waiting for me.

My sister is on the hunt for anything Zhu Zhu. She got the hamster, but would like to get my nephew some accessories.

Are you on the hunt for something this year? What?

pillow pets
they are all sold out on their website, i waited too long to order :(
so i will have to trek to the mall and hope the guy with the kiosk still has them

A Toy Story dvd for my 2 yo grandson. He went to see the 3d version at the theater a few months ago and is now obsessed. He loves Woody and "Butt Year."

Unfortunately, Disney has put the movie back into the "vault." :sad1:

Wow, I bought the DSi with Mario bundle off Amazon.com for $155. I didn't realize it was so sought after. I just checked and it's now selling for $214. Holy balls! I didn't really even want that bundle but it was cheaper than a DSi without a bundle.

My kids want tons of stuff, so it's not hard to find them something they'll love.

That's awesome! Good thing you followed your "gut feelings".. Now are you feeling anything about a lottery ticket? That would just put the icing on the cake! :santa:

mine was zhu zhu... I got them today at shopko online... I read they will have them available for a limited time every day this week? I have a rewards card there and got an email last night telling me to be online at 10Am today I listened and got 2 hamsters a hamster ball and what EVERY hamster needs... a car and a garage lol

A puple pooping monkey. It poops out candy.... We got one then relized (after we got home) that it was broke (basket missing), so we run back, return it (since there arnt anymore) and begin driving around town for a new one. Well, We get home, and my DA gives me the one she bought for her daughter (who wanted the dog anyways).

Nothing - I think for the first time since having kids! And I got everything (except stocking stuffers) online. Easy peasy!

I just saw a set with both TS1 & TS2 in it at Target last week.

Hello all!

OP, your post caught my eye and I just HAVE to ask where in Massachusetts you are. I am in the Woburn area, and am also in the market for a Mario DSi bundle. If your Target sold out one shipment, they're likely to get another fairly soon. If you don't want to post your city, would you mind sending me a PM? That bundle is the ONE thing on my DS10's list, and....well, you know what that means. TIA!

npmommie, depending on which Pillow Pet you're looking for, I may be able to offer some guidance. I work as a buyer for an online retailer of (among many other things) toys and gifts.

My DD8 wants Taylor Swift concert tickets for June 5 at Gillette Stadium. I'm pretty sure Santa was able to hook her up! ;)

My DD9 wants a new lamp for her bedroom. I would like a light pink one or a black one. However, everything I am finding is between $50-$100! No way do I want to pay that for a lamp.

I'm looking for a cherry/olive pitter. The OXO brand seems to be closest to the one that Pampered Chef used to make but I can't find it anywhere.

My DH wants photographs of some of the Chicago Blackhawk players to frame for the basement. I found a few on ebay but I can't really tell the quality.

Lastly, I'm looking for the small iPod shuffle (the one that's the size of a stamp) for my DD that is disabled to wear while riding the bus to/from school. I may have to order a refurbished one from Apple.

Lalijack, I picked it up in the Kingston Target. Here is a bit of advice, Target gets their trucks overnights. Anything that comes in on the trucks, is put on the shelves for opening the next day. So you need to call/check everyday right at opening. I suggest calling, because if they have one in, they will put it aside for you. I would also check Gamestop daily, and Toys R Us. Don't give up, but be vigilant!

WTG on the Taylor Swift tickets. How exciting!

Have you tried ebay? I picked up a few Pampered Chef items off ebay. I love their orange peeler, and I didn't want to both a pampered chef distributor for one orange peeler, LOL

ETA: I just checked Ebay, and there are a few pampered chef pitters, and one OXO pitter. The OXO is buy it now for $10, and the pampered chef ones are around $6.50.

Thanks so much! Wish me luck!

DS4 wants a Tooth Tunes toothbrush like his sister. We are looking in WA for it, Grandma is looking in NJ, the other G'ma is looking in MI for it. All we could find were Hannah Montana ones and at one particular chain drugstore. Then last week we started seeing ones that played a KISS song. While it was more boyish, not really 4yo appropriate. Checked TRU online-sold out. We looked elsewhere online, but refuse to pay $30 for a toothbrush.

DH went out to lunch yesterday, which he never does, and passed this particular drugstore, so he decided to stop in. :thumbsup2 BINGO!!!

DH dug through the pile and found a Star Wars Tooth Tune. DS is giong to be so excited Santa brought it...it is the one thing he has consistently been asking for. :rotfl:

Have you tried Ikea? I love the lighting for kids -- soooo cute but so safe (you can knock them over and nothing breaks :) ). Or you could buy a lamp and shade separately and make one that you know she'll love. But ITA $50-$100 is too much to pay for a lamp.

Around here, the hot items are the Wii (again) and a card game called Slam. We're not planning to get the Wii even though DD9 is begging for one (we know she either won't use it or we won't be able to get her off it) but we have our name on a waiting list for the card game at one of the local retailers.
