Family dressing up? What as?
We're in the process of making "stick figure" costumes. We started with long sleeve black shirts and pants and then we are attaching electroluminescent wire in the form of stick figures. We have the kids outfits done and they look really cool. We'll be wearing them at the MNSSHP Sunday night and again on Halloween.
I'll be doing our usual garage studio Halloween shoot again this year. We set up a black backdrop in the garage and take pictures of trick-or-treaters as they come through. Our neighbors love it because they get nice pictures of their kids in their costumes.
We're going to use the same light setup as last year. I have four strobes shooting into a pair of white v-flats. The light from the strobes bounces off of the v-flats into a white backdrop behind me. It bounces off of the backdrop and illuminates the trick-or-treaters. I like the look of the light and it doesn't need to be tweaked as I switch between tiny and huge subjects. Here is a slideshow of the shots we took last year.
