I always have a bag of stick pretzels on hand. The other day, it was before dinner and I snacked on a nice tomato. I usually have apples or grapes in the house too.

Nuts, seeds, & dried fruit

Cheese

Hard boiled egg

Nut butter with sliced apples

Cherry tomatoes, celery, & carrots

Toast with cream cheese, raisins, & cinnamon

I eat vegan meals quite a bit now so the cheese and eggs are only occasional.

Austin peanut butter crackers,

Pretzels and veggies with hummus
nuts and seeds
tortilla chips ad salsa or guacamole
fruit

Celery and peanut butter, bell pepper strips and homemade ranch, chips and salsa, or chunks of strong cheese

I could lie and say that we only keep organic almonds and celery for snacks. But actually, we figured out long ago that the problem with having snack food in the house is that we eat it. Problem solved -- no snacks in the house.

So if you are hungry in between meals you don't need a little something? Around 3pm I get a little hungry for a snack.

Popcorn, cheese and crackers, and when I splurge, chips and dip.

ETA: I kind of feel a little guilty as most others here seem to have more healthy type snacks. Thinking I should go to the store tomorrow and pick up some healthier snacks to pick on :rolleyes2

did you SEE the picture I posted of mine?:rotfl2: nothing healthy about it, and probably has a shelf life I don't even want to think about. They hit the spot tho, we always have them in the car or on any day trips we take, including WDW :thumbsup2

Thanks FINFAN, just scrolled back up and took another look at your post. It does make me feel somewhat less guilty :thanks:.

I try to do the same If I buy snacks, they are healthy.

Unless I am starving hungry, I drink water vs having a snack...or try to.

I do too, but from experience I know that if I eat a little, it makes me hungrier. So yes, while I might want something, I don't need something. If I get a little peckish, I get some water and just cope with it. If I ate whenever I got a little hungry, I'd weigh 500 pounds at least.
